Gunner jumped the gun and beat you to it.
You guys can fight about it if you want.

I'm almost tempted to ask Graham to make a mafia sub-forum, amidst the general discussion. That way we won't clutter his precious general discussion with our stuff, and it'll be easier to organize(ie, make a sticky that has our mafia game queue)

Incidentally, after Gunner and CT have their turns running games, I was hoping to run another. Wanted to make it a themed game, and make it Final Fantasy characters. =P

For the sake of everyone involved, can we get a re-posting of the rules (or at least a link)?

For the sake of fairness I personally think CT should probably run this game, even though Gunner started the thread, because he did call it.

It's up to you two to fight it out, though.

Meh, I don't care really.

Fourth game is mine though.

I'm not going to start until both the second and third games are finished so that there aren't two games running at once.

Once we talk Graham into making a "Forum Games" subforum, I say we start running multiple games of Mafia.

As for the rules question, I suggest that the moderator use the second post to recap the rules, as well as anything else we would need to know.

And I'm going to throw my name into the hat for running the fifth or sixth game.

I'm a little worried this is getting out of hand. I don't know whether the LRR guys really want a whole other non-LRR subforum on their domain. I mean, it's a lot of fun, but there are other webplaces out there we could play. I'm not against the idea, I think it would be really nice. But what if they don't want to mod it? Who's going to get it?

Bah. Someone shut me up. Ask, see what happens, and we can have a Battle Royal to see who gets the reigns of the forum.

Having a sub-forum would also allow us greater control over the threads (trimming dead talk and more edit control, locking at night). I already play at mafiascum.net, but having a dedicated sub-forum here would be awesome.

Mind if i join in?

I support the subforum idea, but I also like having just one game at a time. Or maybe a only active in one game at a time rule. It would keep things smoother I think.

I don't see a problem with more then one game at a time. If we are just using the general forum I think we should keep it to one game active and one in signup so we don't overcrowd the forum with games. If you don't want to play in more then one don't sign up. If you keep up with the thread then playing in more then one game isn't that much work.

I say one active game at a time. If one person is in two games, then it causes confusion on their part and they'll be more committed to one game over the other.

Plus, if they are close to dying in one, it's less incentive to try and live if they're still in another game.

We definitely need rules about being in character, though. It really messes with the game when some people post in character and others don't.

What we could do if one of different types of games (Newbie, Open, Themed), if we keep them to less people (say 12-15) the games will go faster, but if one does go a little longer it won't be the end of the world for everyone in it.
If we only have enough interested people to run one game at a time then that problem will solve itself, but I don't think we should limit ourselves without trying it first.

EDIT: Sorry for stealing the signup thread, next stop off-topic land!
