Smash Bros. Brawl Forum - Help Out a Friend

Postby CyberTractor » 25 Apr 2008, 09:55

My friend Josh made a website and wants people to test it out.

It's a Super Smash Bros. Brawl forum in which people can schedule brawls with other people and keep track of the statistics.

Just click around, make sure things work. Try playing against other people.

If any of you guys know how to hack or stuff like that, he wants you to do so to the site and let him know what he can do to fix it.

Any suggestions or criticisms would be appreciated.

Like I told you on AIM, no SSBB, or else I'd totally sign up. Soz. If I ever get it, I will.

(except..I hate the color scheme...)

The color scheme for the website?

My friend just picked it because it's the default. Once he gets more experienced, he's going to make it look nicer.

I like the concept! I may just have to sign up because all my friends suck at SSBB.

One thing that I immediately noticed though is that there is no clear description of what the purpose of the site is on the home screen. You can figure it out if you look around but it would be better if it was clearly stated.

I'm trying to sign up right now, and another thing I'm noticing is that you have to sign up for the site and the forums separately. It probably is not possible to link the two together, but if it is, it would be a great addition.

Other than that, it seems like a great way to link some brawlers together and hopefully get a sort of leaderboard/stat tracking thing going.
Is it safe?

There are other sites, but their rating systems are really wonky.

The problem with Smash boards is that there is no limit of how many matches you can play per day, so if I have 30 wins and no losses, and you have 60 wins and 30 losses, you could still have a higher rank than I do.

My friend made the rating system himself.

There isn't a way to link the two as far as he knows, but he's working on it.
