OK, I'm considering picking this game up when I finally pick up a PS3, but I haven't heard much about it. Has anyone here played it, and was it any good?

Yeah... don't buy it.

It's painfully linear and the voice-acting is awful even in Japanese.

I did. I don't find it horrible, though everyone seems to respond to the previous person before they even finish the sentence they were saying.

Hmmm, linear I don't mind so much (it's an RPG after all), but voice acting.....eesh. Better or worse than, say, Final Fantasy X?
