I like The Beatles, and I like the Stones. Can't stand Arctic Monkeys. Kaiser Chiefs are hit and miss, and so are The Automatic.

Am I that other person?

I like the Kaiser Chiefs albums, and their live shows to a certain extent, but when I saw this video, I kind of got angry at them:

(It's not a Rick Roll)

They can't even keep the tempo. this song is my favourite song on Yours Truly Angry Mob (besides The Angry Mob).[/i]

Sorry, but I say that is an okay performance. Though, they might not be sober at that point... Anyway, yeah Retirement and Angry Mob are some of their best songs. Though, I fucking love Heat Dies Down and Learnt My Lesson Well.

Oh also, Britain is the best country in the world (based on music, that is).

Then I love Britain! Tally Ho Gents! What what! .......in England.

I agree with everything you said in that post.
Not a horrible performance, I judged them a bit harshly probably, but the tempo jumping sound fairly amateur. They certainly aren't sober IMO.
But, Learnt My Lesson Well is one of my favourites too, based on the piano riff, and Heat Dies Down is another great one.

I will still buy their next album when it comes out.

Hey, I loves me some Beatles, but best country in the world in terms of music? Seriously? Name one classical composer off the top of your head from Britain. I can name more than that from Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, France...

Seriously, what was Britain doing during the late 16th and 17th centuries?

I like A couple of bands. The white stripes are really good, the Raconteurs are great, their first album was ok, it had a couple of good songs but their latest album is perfect. I also like the flaming lips and They Might Be Giants.

Who can dislike They Might Be Giants? They're so cute and quirky and they sing about presidents.

Ooh, I went through a huge Mahler phase in the 11th grade... I was obsessed. I've kind of gotten over him now. Holst is good, but his poor Planets suite gets raped to death by popular media, because people think the name is cool.

I only listen to the sound of rusty nails on chalkboards, and the screaming of lost souls damned to eternal torture.

I mean, Britney Spears.

My Response

Postby Bento » 25 May 2008, 16:30

Your arrogance makes me mad... My suggestions for things I have been listening to recently 1. Pixies 2. The Field 3. A Place to Bury Strangers (in my opinion would be alot better if they got a new lead singer) 4. Vampire Weekend's CD was really good. 5. Cut Copy 6. I dont care what anyone says the "Fuck Buttons" are awesome 7. Neptune 8. If you like "Interpol" I would suggest "The Editors" and 9. if you have a taste for melodical music I would suggest the "Siam Alice Group." I apologize my enter is broken.

I would kill to see someone with a powdered wig and proper 17th century attire call a classical musician "Fucking Amazing"

I got a CD from Le Chœur et Orchestre Inter-Lycées de Besançon a local choir that I performed with in Besançon, Franche-Comté, France. It is an opera (I think) called "La Damnation de Faust" by Hector Berlioz. Wow, what a crazy and awesome recording.
