He was probably best known as the trucker in Smokey in the Bandit, the Snowman. He also recorded songs like East Bound and Down, Lord Mister Ford, Amos Moses, and others. I believe he also had his own variety show as well. He was an actor, song writer, musician, and I'd say musical comedian. He will be missed.

But this year has indeed sucked for anyone in the entertainment biz. Everyones dying and striking. Not cool man, not cool.
