I'll try harder.
I feel the same way BUT, I do know how it feels when you take extreme care with things that are very valible to you. Reason why I went though 12 flash drives.. all full with work info that were extremely important...

Sorry, Matt; I do consider cell phones in general needless consumerism, but that is merely my personal opinion, and in no way relates to the importance this device held for you, and the loss that you have undergone.
I really, really hope something can be done - the nature of the accidental damage is definitely outside of the warranty, but maybe someone in the relevant field could be a mench and stand up to offer repairs on the device anyway?
(at cost naturally, there's limits to altruism)
Also hoping that icy, numb hole of loss you're probably feeling fades quickly. Chin up, brave l'il guy!

Only if Gibb sings Ave Maria while they lower the original iPhone box into the ground.
I see Gibb more as playing the bagpipes or singing O Danny Boy personally.

I knew the iphones and ipods were fragile, but wow... I have a Ipod gen 5.5 and I try to keep it in good condition (I use rockbox firmware not related but it's cool) the iphone does have alot to offer, I iwsh Apple with improve it on 2 aspects price, and durability I've heard it's too easy to scratch the screen and hearing this, is a bit upsetting. what are you planning on doing next for a phone?
I know how you feel man...
