Square Enix is doing what?

Postby Smeghead » 29 Sep 2008, 06:53

So I tend to look in at Square Enix's japanese home page about once per week (I may not understand what it says, but that's the fastest way to see what they are working on).

Anyway, when I checked yesterday I saw a game they are working on.

Really, I'm missing words for this

*Lost for Words*

Maybe Sephiroth comes in and leaves their disembowled and bloodied corpse all over the dog house.

I clicked the link figuring that the link had already spoiled it. I even joked that something I was about to see "would just have to hit me" in the face or something.

But wuuuuhhhh?! How do you make an entire game out of one, and only one Peanuts character. Gotta give them credit, since it looks like some sort of decent game. Not my cup of tea, but hey.

Only in Japan would they think of making this, hehe.

that game looks like all kinds of lame sauce but snoopy is very popular in japan among girls, so it may sell.

*shrugs*

I dunno, maybe they're planning a 2D scrolling shooter featuring "The Famous World War I Flying Ace"? (check the infobox picture :) )

Hey, Japan did help the 'Western Allies' in securing German territories in the Pacific, back then...

Oh god, could you imagine how epically grand a gritty, hyper-realistic WWI flight sim starring Snoopy would be? Pilots scream as battered biplanes pepper each other with brutal waves of lead that scar the bloodstained fields below... and in the midst of the horrific firefight, a white beagle is doing barrel-rolls on top of a flying doghouse.

YESSSSSS

The japanese love snoopy. And Pooh.

It is... an irrational love. It goes beyond words and into the realm of fiercest longing.

Ashonai...Ebiris...Urshoring...Kvanti...Pythan...N'gurad...Feringomalee!

May that which was once spurned and cast away come to the fore again!

>KRAKA-BOOM!<

Roit, then...

You shoulda hooked up a dynamo to Mr. Schultz's coffin, that aforementioned 'travesty' of a game idea is a little more than an idea.

Games Radar preview of "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron"

The possibility that the teaser page at square enix was referring to converting this PS2 game to the DS isn't totally inconcievable, is it?
