What do you ask for when you get your hair cut? I honestly don't know what other styles I could be getting--I'm too set in my Caesar-style ways!

I'm willing to try something different next time, if people have good suggestions and examples.

I always get it buzzed down military-style every 5-6 months or so. I'm thinking of changing that though, since I've started growing a beard since the last time I was in, and I don't think a buzz-cut would go well with that. So I have no idea what I'm getting in the future.

I used to work at a mens salon and about 90% of guys ask for the ceasar in various lengths

I can't remember the last time I had a haircut, I think it was a number 4 or something, which is about an inch or so length, this was back in the days before everyone in my gene pool started having styling added.

My hair is persistently in a ponytail that reaches all the way down to the base of my spine. It's length and curlyness amuses my mum to no end.

The only complaint I have with my hairstyle is how freaking long it takes to dry.

Whenever I want to do something with my hair, it's either Zach Braff or Claudio Sanchez.

EDIT: But right now I'm sporting a hair style I like to call 'The Graham'.

Do what I did: Let your hair grow out for about year or two, then keep it that general length.

Agreed. I'm in the middle of re-doing this process now. Stupid job hunt requiring short hair... *grumbles*

same here. i get a 4 around the sides, shade longer on top.

looks a lot like the army cut, but it works for me. hair is an annoyance, i like to just shave the lot off and not come back for a while.

I simply cannot abide long hair, especially on myself. Very few people can pull off long hair and make it look good, especially anything longer than shoulder-length. People who try that tend to look like girls more often than not. Not that there's anything wrong with that mind you, but it looks horrible and I will rib them mercilessly about it (for the record, just in case anybody tries to call me out on it, all the gay guys I know have fairly short here, and all the ones I'm thinking of as I type this are straight, and thus open targets for me).

Now this is going to cost me, as it means I'm going to have to go to the hair-dressers more than twice a year if I want to keep it medium length (albeit, not that much more. I'm not Matt). My hair curls severely after about 4 months growth (from a buzz cut) and I have severe cowlicks that stand out straight. So to keep my hair under control, while keeping enough of it to go with my facial hair, will require either a whole lot of effort/product (which I absolutely hate even more than long hair), or more frequent trips to the barber.

Eh, my wallet can take it. And I can't believe I wrote this much about hair.

My hair is now longer than that of many women I know. It is, unfortunately, far overdue for a trim, and the old layers it used to have are now all gone to pot, so it's kinda in need of shedding a few inches in order to be properly cleaned up.

Right now I kind of have Fabio hair, lots of thick, chocolate brown hair that is mostly straight and has a healthy amount of oil, due to me Italian heritage. I like to braid it to add some waviness too, and keep it both manageable and sexy. Mmm, yeah boy! *flex* Hawt.

I just pick up a pair of scissors or a trimmer and thus I save money to waste on other stuff.

I have a ponytail, which is not so much a haircut as it is the lack of a haircut. Since 2000, I've had one haircut.

Buy me a wreath and I'll take the shot for you.

I wonder what the ratio of long-haired guys to short-haired guys is like among "Internet forum posters" as opposed to the general populace. I bet there are more guys with long hair on the Internet than in RL.

I got a faux hawk accidentally this week, just as the hair dresser was going to trim it I stopped her. Now it's my goal to get blond streaks in my faux hawk and take over the world

I really really need to get my hair cut soon. It's just far too long and I really don't know how to get it cut.

I think the only legit option from the caesar is the faux-hawk, if you can pull it off.

I ask for short on sides, little longer on the top.
and the answer to "how Short" is "about a 2"

I have no idea what that 2 symbolizes.
