Wrench Set: #2 Phillips Screwdriver (not pictured), 6" or 8" Crescent Wrench, Craftsman Speed Wrench Set (3/8", 9/16", 5/8", 3/4")

NO BONUS POINTS for guessing what brand of camera I shoot with.
...because you stated the brand and model of your camera; can't guess what I've already been told.
But basically, I'd just carry Sable around - he's got everything I need.
Seriously, I'm pretty spartan; 'two feet and a heartbeat.'
ID, currency, keys, timepiece, and sufficient clothes to keep me from getting sunstroke, hypothermia or arrested.
Nonetheless, I can see your requirements for your stuff.
You should see what's in my car.

i carry:
iPod + earphones
zippo
smokes
wallet(empty)
keys
phone
gum
even this seems like too much to me.
I am not insane. Everything I carry is required for work.

i wasn't referring to the weapons, or you. mostly the vast amounts of EVERYTHING that people carry (mainly sable and alex). i'd probably carry a gun if i could. in fact, i definitely would. i used to carry a knife, but my friend got randomly busted once and it freaked me out a bit. i don't want my prints on file... just in case.

Man... lots of people here carry knives.
*Note to self: do not meet forumites in dark alleys.*
Normally, its just watch, wallet, cell phone, keys (if I can remember even that much). Excitingly, I just got a Suunto X6HRM watch, which means I also have an altimeter, compass, thermometer, and barometer. These are the basic set. Add to that the following combo platters ($3.99);
School:
- Bag or pack
- Notebooks
- Pens
- Calculator (Sharp EL-510R)
- Snack
- Water bottle
- Labcoat, safety goggles, 2pr nitrile gloves (never know when SCIENCE may happen)
- Bus schedule
Optional
- iBook (old), + cable
- Leatherman Wave
- lighter
- Nerf gun
Hiking/climbing
- Leatherman Wave
- Bear banger with bangers + flares
- lighter
- Chlorine tablets
- Water bottle
- Compass (Suunto MC-2)
- Petzyl Tikka headlamp
- Sunglasses

my wife's car is new, so it hasn't picked up much cruft.
My wife carries less with her on a daily basis than I do. Her purse consists of maybe five items at any given time.

I pay attention, pure and simple. I also have great memory for details.
"where did I put my phone? do you have it?"
"it's in your purse, where you put it after you called your mom."
huddlehouseninja wrote:HOLY CRAP!!!
note that this is all situational, and the first part is what I carry daily, the rest is depending on where I'm going.
I'm the only one driving my car because the power steering is out, and I drive my wife's car more than she does because she hates driving, and makes me do it all the time. And I like driving her car.

Yeah, but I can't carry your car!
Mine has a fair amount of gear, including just about every spare fluid for everything it needs to run, two jacks, about six umbrellas, sizeable first aid kit (reminds me; I gotta go through that one and replace anything 'expired') and a lotta tools.
As for going to work, I'll have a backpack with a water bottle, usually a sandwich, my uniform with pen, marker and notepad, a crossword book for breaks, and then a portable pharmacy with cough drops, analgesic, antacid, and a small first aid kit.
But none of this goes with me everywhere, EVERY time I leave the house.

What type of knife is legal to carry concealed in your area?
I am allowed a 4" blade where I live.
I consider a knife the most basic human tool. It can be used as a weapon of course. But many things can be used as weapons. I prefer an assisted opening knife because I wear gloves at work all day. That and they are just cool.
What I carry and where I bought mine:
