As soon as I saw the title, why was my immediate thought "Sable wins that thread"?

....oh, right, because he's just that awesome.

Due to phenominal bad planning I have been unable to procure in a timely fashion a sizable orange gourd commonly referred to by you Humans as a "pumpkin." However, last year I had access to many of these & the time to hollow out & carve into them a variety of visages & decorations. I took many photographs of the two best & created an archive in my LiveJournal gallery, linked below. If time permits this afternoon I shall upload a couple photos to a more direct-link friendly source for an adequate preview.

115 pound pumpkin carving:

What could he be so worried about?

Have you ever tried carving with a Sawzall? NOT EASY.

The lid by itself weighed more than some of my other pumpkins.

Test fitting.

I guess he did have something to worry about!

And finally, something completely different...

That pumpkin's a spah!

Very nice Sable. I wouldn't have thought to have one pumpkin to eat another pumpkin.

That scene with your four pumpkins is hilarious, Sable. It would also make an excellent desktop picture.

Send me PM if you want a desktop-sized version, so we can let the Halloween thread go six feet under. I shot them with an 8.2MP camera, so unless you're running an IMAX monitor or something, I can hooks you up.
