It's not Jason Friedberg and Aaron Selzer, so it might not be terrible.

Perhaps this will drive the stake to the heart of this beast, and it will finally die.

Maybe, but we'd still need to decapitate it, stuff the head full of holy wafers, put the head in a box full of holy water, and then burn the body to ash.

Don't they still need to sue Ben Stiller for Night at the Museum?

There's potential for this to be a moderately viewable movie.

But I, too, hope it kills, or at least incapacitates, the genre.

If you truly love The Burt, do not see this movie.

You should just watch those Macco commercials over and over again if you need your Burt fix.

Hmm. Actually reading the article, it sounds like it isn't actually a spoof movie itself. It's a movie set in a movie studio, and the "spoof of spoofs" is the "play within a play."

I'm not saying it'll be good, I'm not sure the cast is even particularly heartening, but it's not going to be 95 minutes of churning spoof.

That said, I was a bit disappointed. Not Another Teen Movie was actually a good spoof, or I liked it seven years ago at any rate. This one doesn't seem to involve any of the same people, in the end.

Mel Brooks already did it better.

SEE: Mel Brooks' Silent Movie

I miss Mel Brooks.

I don't think Mel Brooks is that funny, overall. Every now and then he gets a decent meta-gag, but on the whole his jokes are pretty awful and unfunny, IMO.

Ok ok ok, maybe I was a bit strong. I don't hate Mel Brooks or his comedy by any means. I just think his movies are over-rated.
