PETA's version of Cooking Mama

Postby CyberTractor » 19 Nov 2008, 19:21

http://www.peta.org/cooking-mama/index.asp

That's right. PETA is batshit crazy enough to release their own version of Cooking Mama.

What do you guys think of this?

Makes me want to kill animals even more.

(I put this in general discussion because I was more wanting to talk about PETA and their objectives, not necessarily just this game.)
I can't think of a signature.

My problem with PETA and all other militant vegetarians, is that they insist that their way is right and try to shove it down my meat-loving throat.
Like PETA insisting that Ben and Jerry's use Breast Milk instead of cow milk in their ice cream.

To speak of them gives them more credibility than they deserve. On its face, animal rights (not animal welfare, or the prevention of animal cruelty, or any other legitimate cause, I'm speaking strictly about animal rights) is a ridiculous and self-contradictory position.

PETA, and their counterparts in the ALF and other such organizations, are manipulative fools at best and domestic terrorists at worst. They do not bear thinking about.

</is one of the few issues that really gets my goat, though I promise to keep it civilized. I don't think this will turn into a big argument anyway.>

That was me, in the post your link thread.

Yeah, so I played it all the way through
Mama sees the error of her ways and becomes a vegan, and you make a "tofu turkey" which looks like a rounded blob that was basted with some kind of turkey bouillon?
But yeah, the facts that were spread between each stage were laughable...I especially liked the one about Turkeys having distinct personalities, and since I have raised Turkeys I know for a fact that they are actually the STUPIDEST creatures on the face of the planet...like ants are smarter than those things. Now someone defending that little factoid would point out that these are already bred turkeys and therefore lack their natural intelligence. WRONG AGAIN.

There are wild turkeys living in the forest surrounding my parent's farm, and they cannot fly, but some how every year a couple manage to get into trees...and then cannot get down, and proceed to starve to death in the tree.

I'm not sure what is wrong with the wild turkeys, but the wild turkeys where I'm from can fly just fine. Still dumb as fuck, but flighted.

The warbling buttons & text are rather annoying. The mini-games are dumb. It's pretty gory considering it's for people who love animals. And why the hell is there blood & feathers in the eggs??? I've cracked hundreds of eggs & have never found either in any. Their idea of a turkey dinner is absolutely grotesque. It's rather hypocritical for PETA to create or even just host something like this. But then, PETA are retards anyway.

Oh yeah, they're also Bullshit.

I'm all for animal rights (the right to be taken care of, the right to not be extinct), and preventing animal creulty (cause a cow that is well taken care of tastes better than one that is not...plus other reasons not having to do with food) but PETA is just waaaay too....
I don't even know the word to explain it: that's how much of it they are.

I thought the game was entertaiing though, and totally missed the point they were trying to make.

Can I just say: wild turkeys, starving to death in trees because they can't figure out to get down? That's awesome.

Yep, they've also fallen asleep in their own watering bowls... they and other animals have been known to smother each other by piling up for warmth in the middle of winter.

I think their point with making things grotesque is to make you feel guilty for eating those things.

Their only goal with this is to get popular attention and brand awareness, and it's obviously working.

That would look more appropriate if someone 'shopped that to "PETA kills animals."

Peta are a bunch of contradicting dumb fucks in the first place, saying killing animals is "Inhumane" when in reality the "Humane" thing to do is to survive and killing is directly related to survival.

Also moron vegetarians/vegan need to realize canine teeth evolved before a sense of morality.

Don't bitch about eating meat and only veggies, eat both and be happy.peta are a bunch of fur-fags.

I love animals, really, I actually like animals more than 70% of the people I know, but I hate PETA.

Look, animals like me too, here's a squirrel giving me a hug:

now i reallly craving turkey. and i can blame peta for this craving, ill be sure to increase turkey sells by at least $40 this year, thanks peta

by the way, i adore animals, i owe a pet duck, dog, cat,and a parakeet. and i cant stand peta, they should start putting that money towards something useful like feeding people in africa, not tell me not to eat animals when i am already set on eating them.

I've had squirrels climbing around me too, I'd love to have a squirrel for a companion/pet but they're hard to get to trust you. Unless you could find a baby one.

They may be very agile rats with big bushy tails but they're SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!

Please see the paraenthesis:
Jillers wrote:I'm all for animal rights (the right to be taken care of, the right to not be extinct)...

note the lack of "etc...", though, I'll admit my idea of animal rights fall more into the human treatment of animals area.

Edited for specificity: Animals that humans have taken under their care have the right to be taken care of.

"Right" may be the wrong word to use here, but the only other way I can think to word it, which you may agree with more, is "I believe animals deserve to be taken care of; I believe animals deserve to exist"- neither of which, I hope, are too controversial a view.

I don't think animals have the right to vote, or other rights which require free will.

Meanwhile!

I love animals and everything but, honestly, PETA is retarded. I'm entitled to enjoy eating a hamburger without some ill-informed nutjob coming up to me and saying how horrible of a person I am for doing so. Someone tries that crap on me and I'm just going to out right tell them to fuck off, but not before asking if they'd like a bite of my delicious sandwich

D'oh, there's a PETA club at my university. They keep hanging up posters about stopping animal cruelty and the like.

When I see one, I usually comment to a nearby friend, "Stop cruelty to animals: kill them quickly and painlessly. " Really, my only objection to animal cruelty is that people who do that for fun may move up to torturing humans, or may be using the animal as a surrogate for humans, so it's just a symptom of a deeper problem.

RE: pet squirrels. Having a squirrel companion would ROCK so hard! There are also foxes in my neighborhood, and I got to stand literally within 10 feet of a couple of deer two nights ago. I've been wanting to feed the foxes, but haven't because it's probably a bad idea all around.

I did set out a water trough for them, though.

Seriously, though: if God didn't want us to eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?
