Beardless Paul

Postby Master Gunner » 29 Nov 2008, 14:16

Here's a question: Do you actually want beardless Paul? I, for one, do not. Sadly, by the looks of it, we have no choice, as we're over halfway there and have being playing for less than 24 hours.

I do have the After Hour's LRR dvd where you do see beardless Paul in awesome SD quaility video. It IS very weird/odd/funny so kinda nothing new to me

If you can do a sketch about it then that will be awesome.

The artist's impression genuinely scared me when I saw it and there's just too much tradition in the beard for it to go.

So I vote "For LRRd's sake NO!"

It'll only take two weeks or so to grow it back, so I vote yes.

I missed the first day.... can someone explain the history of this? What happened to make Paul shave?

The thing is that if they get more money than last year, Paul will shave his beard. Something we cannot let happen. Paul's too gorgeous.

I have no trouble with Paul shaving off his beard, provided it be made the subject of a video.

As long as they find a way to make it work with Hustle, I have no problems with this. If we can get a picture of a mustachioed Paul in mid-shave, that'd be swell, too.

I'm worried that Paul will look very, very creepy, as per the 'shop, but so long as he promises to grow the beard back, then it's "for the kids", so it's fine by me.

Paul has outright said that it wouldn't be part of a commodoreHUSTLE episode, partially because he'd probably have grown it back by the next episode.

The 'Grand Unveiling' may segway in to something more positive;

Paul could craft the tattered remains of his beard into a rather fetching of victorian moustache.

If Paul was just going to randomly shave his beard, then no, but since it's for an excellent cause, then yes, because think about how much money that will mean they raised.

Damn; a co-worker has to suddenly leave for a parent's..um, passing, and I spend my "Desert Bus Weekend off" working, and THIS happens in my absence!

Okay, it's cool that he made the wager and all, and the fund-raising has been fantastic, but...

...it's Paul's Beard fer crissakes! What's next; you gonna shave Gibb?!?

Man...

The wife just responded to this new with "but Paul doesn't have a beard; he's got one of those goatee - Van Dyke things"

It's a technicality, and as much as I'd like to see Paul's Beard continue in LRR uninterrupted (I don't care if he can grow it back in five minutes; it won't be the same dammit! ) I'd rather our webmaster extraordinaire honour his commitments.

So, asmuch as I voted "OH GOD, NO!!!" I expect to see shaving in Paul's future...don't want it, but c'est la vie. :?

I voted no, because Pauls life force is sustained by the beard/goatee. By killing the beard, you kill Paul.

That's my theory mind you

The shaving will be recorded on the uStream channel, and as long as Graham or someone else remembers, it will be filmed on my camera, too.

I'm worried about this... yes, shaving for the kids IS a good cause... and sure his beard will grow back cause Paul has the manliness of a man at least twice his size...

But it won't be the same beard but a new beard.

What will Paul's beard 2.0 be like? Will it be the same or more awesome?

Well we know it won't be less awesome. As this is the beard of the one who installed linux on everything so it's not going to be anything like Vista compared to XP. But it requires further thought and research to know what it will TRULY be like.

Regardless, this should probably be something we should worry about considering what Paul's beard said in Episode IV.

Paul's Beard: "Strike me down and I will become more beardlier than you can possibly imagine."

We can only hope Paul's beard 2.0 won't be looking to avenge his brother.

EDIT: Post edited for accuracy.

If this situation were a movie:

-Paul's Beard 2: Beard Harder.

-What lies beneath.
(Paul's Beard)

-The Beard Lebowski
-
Pauls Gone Wild.

-Shaft

-Boogie nights... :!:

Wow... I got a little bit off-topic there.
