I was hoping I'd be the first one to post her.
I'm still trying to figure out why someone didn't tell me how awesome Muse is.

I'd come home every day from school to find that I could not play my video games. My cousin would be already watching Sailor Moon on YTV. This has made me relate Sailor Moon with games not working and/or not being able to play them.

I actually didn't get into Sailor Moon until my friends showed me the later episodes with the Outers.

how can that skirt possibly cover anything?
totally impractical for righting wrong and triumphing over evil

Enh. It depends on how you look at it. I did ballet when I was a kid (until I was 13 or so). For practice and performance you wore a leotard with a "dance skirt." In most cases, dance skirts aren't there to actually cover anything except when you're entirely still... they're there to enhance the appearance and feel of your movement. In some cases you'd wear a leotard without a dance skirt.

So presuming that the sailor suits are leotards with dance skirts rather than shirt/skirt/underwear, there's no reason to worry too much about the skirt "covering" anything. And it's easier to do martial arts in a leotard than a gi, I discovered later. I don't have the body for a leotard anymore, but I don't see significant disadvantage in fighting in one.

Sadly, Neptune's shoes ARE in fact bad for fighting (low heals with ballet lacings), but if you remove the heels and have her fighting in ballet shoes it becomes fun and easy again. Yes, I have given this too much thought.

I started watching Sailor Moon at cons lots of years ago, then it came on the TV and everyone could see how Amy Mizuno was so fucking awesome and I started collecting everything about her.

My sisters used to watch this all the damn time when they were teens. So knowing me, I watched it with them. I also think it was the first anime I have ever seen.

Its close between mercery and Jupiter... I guess Ill take mercury due to the nerdyness.

It's tied between Neptune and Mars, for me. I really like Saturn, too :)

... Must have been after my time. I didn't watch any anime as a kid... and to this day the only one I have ever followed was InuYasha while I was in college. (Damn you AdultSwimm!)

This reminds me of a line from the Danish Film Adam's Apples which, coincidentally, I just finished watching.

Priest: (looking at a framed photograph in Adam's room) That's a handsome man. Is he your father?
    Adam: That's Hitler.

Edit:
Whups. 1337 post is in another thread. My mistake.
