Hey Guys.

This is the official thread for the Project 365 many of you have invested some interest in. I figure if we all keep each other on the ball for the next year give or take a couple days we should all be able to have something we are proud of at the end of it.

Please post the link to your 365 in this thread and i will add them all to the list in this post.

*I am away this weekend so if you post your link and wonder why it's not getting posted don't worry, i will get on it Sunday night*

I'm considering taking part, even though I only have a camera phone. I'll start it up as soon as I can find the data cable to get the pictures off the camera.

Given that I now have Graham's old camera, I am thinking I will take part for the purpose of learning my way around a camera.

I have created a Flickr account to this effect.

My photos will suck.

I officially took my first photos ever tonight. They all suck. I have uploaded 3 to my flickr account.

I haven't actually read through the manual of my camera yet, so I dont know what any of the functions are or how to manipulate settings. Tonights pictures are just me playing around a bit.

So I usually take photos everyday, so I will try to post some stuff. However, I found in the last year I do film a million times better than digital for some reason, so I can take a picture everyday but I won't actually develop them for about a week.

Day 1! I really hope I can keep this going without missing any days. I've taken a few photos as "backups" already, just in case I can't shoot on a particular day.

I have plenty of pictures that have never been seen by others, but I don't think I'll use them for this. I'd prefer to actually take a new picture every day. If I actually forget to take a picture one day, I don't know if I'll post an old picture or not.....well, better to just try to avoid that.

You take a picture of every day of the year and post it online for you, or potentially others to see if you so choose so.

Perhaps someone else can explain the idea behind it a bit better than I can?

the idea is, as far as I understand, to take a photo every day which will help one to remember what went on during the day. The original blog that started the whole thing has a very good description. I think it's linked earlier in this thread.

New photos up on my Flickr, by the way. They're better than my first few.

Let me explain the "Rules" (there are no rules since this is more about a personal dedication than about a public photo album) one more time.

1. Take a photo every day of someone, something, yourself, ANYTHING
2. Don't forget to take a photo every day, this is the whole point
3. you do not have to upload every day. you can if you wish as it is less confusing when you have to catch up with posting it online but not a necessity.
4. This is not a contest to see who has better pictures and having crappy pictures at first is a part of it. Just have fun and over time you will be better at remembering to keep your camera with you and learn to take better pictures faster.
5. Have fun

I fixed my old Japanese camera so I will having an easier time with this now. My pictures seem so random but I guess that's the point.
