I don't seem to be able to make it work, or maybe it just doesn't like me. Clicking the link takes me to some bare, random page and trying to save the target tells me it's a html file. What am I doing wrong?

If you look at the link it cuts off when it gets to the (Part1).mp3.
Just copy and paste.

I have made it work, and my copy seems to cut out at the 7 minute mark, followed by 20 minutes of silence.

Yeah, it's possible the recording cut out and no-one noticed...which would seriously suck at this stage.

It didn't cut out during the recording, the file gets corrupted sometimes when changing from wav to mp3 for some reason.

Up again, the mp3 wouldn't take so it's now an Ogg Vorbis.

On the note of martial arts, I did Ninjutsu for a few years and I always find it poignant that mankind has developed hundreds of different styles of fighting for incapacitating eachother, but only a small handful for fighting an actual predator (Most of which involve a gun).

Evidently we consider the guy standing next to us a bigger threat than the charging bear twenty feet away.

Humans can recognize what the threat is. If someone has a weapon, they know not to get hit by it. Animals just want to tear your guts out.

Trust me. Me standing next to you is a much bigger threat than a bear 20 feet away.

Me standing next to you AND a bear 20 feet away? You are pooped. Say goodbye to your kneecaps and hello to my retreating form. Also hello to charging bear.

Did the other bits ever end up anywhere? I seem to recall a Jer interview being mentioned at some point as well and talk of a Morgan one. Are those someplace?

The jer one is a few pages back I think. I'm gonna ask Elomin sometime to add these interviews to the LRRmon thread so you don't need to keep hunting for em.

As for the Morgan interview. I haven't really seen Morgan on lately so I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it, If I can talk to him, there is going to be a Johnny Blakesborough(hope i spelled that right) interview in the works
