Wow, two posts and I'm cocky enough to start a new topic. How presumptuous of me! - Actually, I'm too lazy to find one relating to what I want to talk about.
Anyways, I've looked at your merchandise and I have to say, I would like to buy something and support you guys, but T-shirts just aren't my thing. I can't wear them to work and I'm not going out to a bar to get laid in one. I've got far too many T-shirts in relation to the little time that I wear them. That being said, I would really love a black military style cloth hat with the loading ready run symbol on it. I could easily make one, but that doesn't put money in the loading ready run guys' pockets, now does it?
Well, I'm wondering what everyone elses' thoughts on this are?
Thanks for reading!

Re: Merchandise idea
I think a LRR hat would have to be a fedora. But maybe you could link to a picture of the type of hat you're describing?

Re: Merchandise idea
If they were to release a hat, it would probably be "THE HAT", and cost only 5 easy payments of 19.99.
Also I believe we had a discussion about fedoras etc. recently... but whatever.
Fact is, T-shirts sell. Well, they sell more than other merch. LRR would have to sell a lot more stuff before they branch out into other products. Personally, I'm still waiting on a dot-dot-dot-circle-triangle branded polo.
Also, have you considered rotating out your old t-shirts and replacing them with LRR shirts? LRR shirts also make great insulation for LRR DVDs.

I believe that style is called a cadet hat, I wear my AC/DC one all the time.

Re: Merchandise idea
That would be pretty cool. And would work better than a fedora for putting the LRRgo on it. But I just really like fedoras.

Precisely! Only, I'd like to see the emblem larger and centered.

Meh, I tried
I like it off to the side though Even though my abnormally large head doesn't allow me to wear that type of hat (or fedoras or trilbies), must to my disappointment.

Re: Merchandise idea
I'm thinking baseball caps. Especially if they could then use them in a 64K video. I'm still hoping for a hoodie in the future.

Re: Merchandise idea
I love the idea of a little zip hoodie. Unfortunatly, other kinds of merch just aren't feasible unless they know they can make money off of them. Unlike webcomics and the like, there is a baseline cost to what LRR does, and so I doubt they can afford to take the financial risk of making a product (hat, hoodie etc) that will only sell to ten people or so.
Re: Merchandise idea
How would people feel about prints or posters?
Of things like Kathleen's drawings from "A Little TOO Human" (but coloured, of course). Or a "Bagel Free Kitchen" sign, suitable for framing.
Just a thought I had recently.

My walls are always chronically bare. I need more hangings for them. I slowly intend to piece together a collection. LRR would contribute well to that.

Honestly, I wouldn't purchase either of those. They don't lend themselves to a higher-quality print; they could as easily just be printed off. They'd be fun as bonus inserts in the DVDs though! A poster with the Runners logo would be doable.

Re: Merchandise idea
If anything, I think a cool poster would be the "Comedy: Serious Business" image on the "About" page.
Signatures are for suckers!...oh wait
Re: Merchandise idea
In the case of Kathleen's drawings, I disagree.metcarfre wrote:They don't lend themselves to a higher-quality print
I'm actually going to make a new thread for this.

Its a good idea for some, but I (who was birthed from the queen of OCD and was discouraged from wall art) would rather have more functional merch.
