I didn't think so, but the directions say 'driving time.' I think you can set them to 'walking time,' but it might be scary to see how much time Google estimates one would spend on the open road.

Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths." Also, walking times are intimidating, but hilarious. If walking, it would take Morgan about 6 days 17 hours from San Jose to San Diego, and about 13 days 12 hours to get from Denver to Chicago.
