And I prefer the Three Button Set

I vote 3-button set. I might buy the 3-button set, but not the 5-button set.

I like the five button set, with the writing.

5-buttons would be cool, but 3-buttons are more practical, so I'd go with that (+writing).

I wasn't paying attention when the choice came up originally, but yeah, three buttons with words look good.
The dot buttons in the quintuplet set look too much like bloobs.

I don't mind this one. I, however, would not buy the 5 set. I have many buttons on my jacket, adn the 5 button one is far to gaudy and impractical. I would still just like to see one with the logo.

I would sell them in sets of 5, and make 5 different designs. This has been the most successful way I've seen buttons marketed and sold.

My vote is for:

single logo
Comedy: SRS BUSINESS
Blue LRR black backround
Black LRR Blue backround

Oh we plan on making many designs, and selling them in packs.
Or individually as additions to t-shirt or DVD orders.

These are the plans. The plans could change.

I like the three-button set with writing. Have you considered taking advantage of the coming olympics by making olympic slacking team buttons? Tensen had some awesome designs for various nations in one of the t-shirt design threads a while ago. Topical souveniers, collect 'em all!

that works. but if you omit the text, the small ones have gotta be over three buttons.

that works because the spacing of the words is more important then the spacing of the dots, aesthetically speaking. remove the words, and the dots look funny.

as for what i would want on a button, +1 for obscure references to things like the Canadian dental approval association.

id also want an "im putting my lab coat on" button.

pick out some iconic lines, find appropriate backgrounds for them, and then assess them for amusement factor. once you have narrowed it down a bit, show us what you got, and we can give you some feedback, i reckon.

We're planning on running them up within the month, but we're making some store changes, but I don't know exactly when.
We won't mind if you wait.

Now that I actually see the three & five logo buttons I'm liking the three button logo better. The spacing of the "loading" dots looks much better. Tho' if you put text across them you'll have to balance the lettering so it doesn't confuse the logo beneath.

This isn't practical but I also like the idea of T-shirt & button combos that work together. That is, imagine a black shirt with just a large blue circle & arrow on it. Then you add three blue buttons to complete the logo. Or better, a shirt with the gum pack from the "Canadian Dental Approval Association" video. The various approval logos would be the buttons you pin on to complete the packaging.
