G4 TV Advertisment

Postby Haraket » 13 Jun 2009, 23:35

The YouTube.com video clip of one of our beloved LRR hosts attacking their own testicles with nunchuku was used in a G4TV advertisment for their show Web Soup.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Nunchuck Fail is no longer property of LRR. The internet has stolen it, and loves it.

G4 did ask us to use it. I don't think they know it's fake yet.

They will.

I also wonder if it's actually been on the show. :D

The internet has embraced it like it's own, we would only stunt growth by claiming it back, just enjoy the fame LRR is getting.

But is LRR really getting fame?

If they don't know its fake, they don't know its LRR.

I didn't watch the episode of Leno it was on, but did they mention LoadingReadyRun?

Does the commercial have a scrolling watermark of "www.loadingreadyrun.com" on it?

I still think its awesome how successful it was, but no real additional fame.

Its something that's out there and people are becoming familiar with. Now whenever LRR does panels, talks to (semi-)important people, or gets on TV again (there were on a G4 show a while back), they can bring up that they did the nunchuck video, and that it is a fake. This immediately links them to something the viewers know and like, and makes them more likely to come here. Also on youtube the nunchuck video is getting linked to the other viral vids and to the LRR channel through the related videos thingy.

When this actual episode airs, can someone record it?
Or has it aired already?

Is that really worth a ? You haven't have the opportunity to see the vast, vast majority of crap on there. The bastards ate TechTV solely for X-Play and dumped Leo Leporte like a bad habit. I liked TechTV!

I remember when it first became G4-TechTV and there were assurances that it was the same channel, just with some add-ons. Then someday a few months later they became just G4 and made no mention of it as if they were some sort of gargantuan monster who devours entire channels on a daily basis and sees no reason to make a big deal out of it.

A garguantian, shitty monster.

First, to Graham: G4TV has become another channel to watch COPS. So don't fret over it.

G4-TechTV was ok, they took down some shows I liked and replaced them with those slightly more boring shows. And when those flopped, they 1-up'd themselves and replaced those with even MORE boring shows (COPS).

And @danpete6: I actually saw the clip on a commercial for a show, while actually watching TV. So I don't have a link.

That's either really courageous, a strong indicator of maturity... or slightly disturbing...

And I believe I have seen the advert, but it hasn't aired for a while, at least not on channels I've been watching.

Am I the only one who, when they read this, immediately visualized the G4 studios engulfed in flames with Graham and Paul cackling madly from within the safety of the Moonbase?

The G4 offices were destroyed yesterday by an orbital stream of mixed Spraycheese and urine, a large concentration of people across the world, particularly in theVictoria BC area, and Sweden, are reportedly laughing like crazed hyenas
