Sometimes I wish I lived in Canada, it seems like things would be simpler there.

Okay, I've come to the conclusion this morning that statutory holidays should never be mid-week. It turns Thursday mornings into Monday mornings and people act like idiots. Before 6 am I had witnessed 3 acts of monumental stupidity, including a double-trailered gas tanker truck running a red light and a small woman running in front of a bus so as not to let it pass her and miss it.

But for what's it's worth I hope everyone enjoyed their beaver, tail and/or beaver tails.

Sunshine was enjoyed, beer was drunk, friends where hung out with and fireworks were watched. It was a good Canada Day.

I played Fallout 3 for most of yesterday. Got the MIRV for some in-game fireworks though.

For Canada day I went out and got sunburned on my arms and shoulders. It was very patriotic, as I am now completely white in the middle with two bands of red on the sides.

All you need to do is paint a maple leaf on your chest.

I did very little, but my birthday is on the fourth, which is pretty odd as a Canadian let me tell ya. I will however spend the 3rd (4th minus the 1st) with fireworks and beer and BBQ, good times will be had.

Speaking of the fourth, should we say what we are doing in America here or start a new thread? Personally, my friend's sister is being transfered to Korea for the Air Force and her going away party is the 4th.

That is hilarious. I feel your pain, as sunburns suck ass... but I had to laugh.

I didn't end up going rafting because I was too busy organizing my house for family coming from overseas. Turns out, they weren't coming this friday, but NEXT. I was really sad. But I did end up making my family some killer food.

For Canada Day, went to Rivercree (casino here in Edmonton) to watch some fireworks and have Canadian Caesars all night. It was fun and I did make 40 bucks in blackjack

My Canada day was spent full of sun and ended with music and some light drinking with friends. It was pretty perfect. Even a few fireworks, despite being in a pretty remote place.

Also - I wear a lazer cut nickel at all times from my birth year (the outline of the beaver is etched out).

A) Overseas? Where?
B) Food? What did you make?
