Commodore hustle Kids!.(working title)

Postby rendelnep » 26 Dec 2009, 00:56

Heres a thought. An animated series detailing the (fictional) misadvetures of the young LRR crew as they they constantly foil the plans of the Warriors of Darkness or Andy every week while they attend primary school.

This would serve as the perfect vehicle for merchandise opportunites and each crew memeber has their own superpower or gimmick.

edit: Sorry I meant Geoff and not Andy.

I think it would be better as a one-off.

Especially if it had a "previously on..." or "next time on..." that seemed so much more interesting than the actual episode.

...if that makes any sense.

Also there is just one slight issue with the idea...

None of them really now how to do animation.

maybe Chemistring could be convinced to make LRR Kids puppets..? I'm pretty sure that's asking a lot, though -- especially for a one-off video.

Honestly i hadn't given the details too much thought. I just it'd be a throw away line someone would suggest to immediately get shot down within a CH episode. I guess puppets would be hell of a lot easier but the medium doesn't translate very well to epiletic fit inducing tranformation sequences. What we could do is roll back the era to the 60's and produce something like Bill and Ben the flower men or the Sherri Lewis show.

Get eight different colours of construction paper, and switch between a different colour for each picture in the sequence.

As an impossible idea,

What if each episode has a different animation style, one with very simple cartoons next to expensive anime.

It would be easy enough for them to use photographs of the crew with Clutch Cargo-style animation.

They could use green screening to make it look like they're smaller than everything.
