Crapshot: The Advertising

I'm not 100% on how best to communicate this idea visually, but the jist of my idea is having a personification of advertising as it exists now, compared to how it used to be.

The best thing I can think of is having someone walk up to a store with a poster on the side that has a person loudly, excitedly, extolling the virtues of their particular product once the person stops long enough to pay attention. Hard cut to someone reading a book, that has it slapped out of their hands by someone offscreen. Cut to wide shot with a disinterested person saying angrily into a megaphone "BUY OUR SHIT" at the person trying to read. And when the reader ignores them and goes to retrieve the book, said angry ad-man says "how fucking dare you" in a barely audible voice.

Needs a good deal of fleshing out, but the idea is fairly strong I feel.
