(open in a lab; Paul is here with labcoat and clipboard, along with one African grey parrot)
(we came in the middle of something; Paul finishes taking a note, then turns to parrot)
Paul (calmly): Pachyderm. Pachyderm. Pachyderm. Pachyderm.
(parrot appears to consider this for a second)
Parrot: Pachyderm! AWWWWWK! Pachyderm! Pachyderm!
(Paul nods, takes another note, and again turns to parrot)
Paul: Centrifuge. Centrifuge. Centrifuge. Centrifuge.
(parrot considers this for a couple more seconds than before; parrot looks slightly confused)
(parrot explodes into a cloud of feathers)
(Paul nods, unfazed by this, and takes another note)
(cut to Moonbase Delta, Friend Zone; Alex is reading something, James is nearby)
Alex: Huh. That's neat. It says here the African grey parrot can remember around a hundred distinct words and phrases.
(James considers this)
James: How do they test THAT?

Yes, I did get the idea for this after learning that fact about African greys a while ago.
