Old Videos

Postby Exodius » 13 Jan 2008, 14:58

Hey, I've only been watching LLR for about a month or two now, and in my spare time, I've watched literally ALL the videos. (The only problem arising from my having watched them all in reverse-chronological order) I love the site, the vids are great, and I want more. Which is why I ask this: What happened to the old videos? I just watched the LLR Year One Retrospective, and only four or five of the videos (all of which look hilarious) mentioned in that video are actually on the site! I would love to see them, and I hope that if you still have them, you make them readily available to your viewing audience.

It's a ploy to get you to buy the DVDs.

LIES! They used to host their own videos, and needed to remove old videos to make way for new ones. After the switch to Rever, the guys were still lazy, and never got around to bringing back old stuff.

They've also said that they're not too proud of some of the first-season stuff, and see no point in bringing it back.

How can you not be proud of hitting James in the balls with Tennis Balls?

The old stuff is good too. Quantum Documentary and The Mirror are still some of my favorite sketches.

I agree, Quantum is awesome, because meta makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.

It's mostly just a couple we're middling on.
I mean, they don't really compare to the new stuff, but that's because we've improved. I still think we did some great stuff in S1.

Yeah, the X ways to Y vids were actually really good. Especially The Man Who Is Super.

You're not missing much. They really aren't very good.

Season One does have some clever and funny material in it... just not in those.

Well, it sounds to me like there's a lot of season one to be had. I think what you should do, is put the old stuff back up. Perhaps even on a new part of the site, or something. Like an "Old Videos" section, or something. Then, you could make a point of how your videos have evolved since you first started. Besides, I desperately want to see James get hit in the nuts with a tennisball. And my sister and I really enjoy the "Iron Stomach" type videos, and want to see all of the origionals. We're actually hoping to think up a challenge for you guys to do, one of these days.
