That and a fierce patriotism based on information available to us readily in any number of forms, such as news, music and comedy - particularly comedy, ie, Rick Mercer - help to give us a pretty good view of our neighbours to the south.

You want a good view? Here ya go:

Imagine Godzilla. Now imagine him dressed as a clown. Now imagine him hitting himself in the face with a giant mallet, forever.

Now imagine him also invading Iraq.

That's pretty much everything you need to understand recent American politics.

And this is why quite a few Americans (most of them my schoolmates, the xenophobic bastards) don't like foreigners.
Because, unlike us, they don't even attempt to imagine what it's like to be in another country. For example, I actually DO. This is why I want to live in Canada, because extrapolating from what I have seen, plus what people have told me, I can imagine that it's a fairly nice, vibrant place to live, not, as it looks from the OUTSIDE, a dull, boring, just a smidge stagnant country.

Do you even know how much we're pissed off with our government right now? Huh? In 2,000, no-one I know actually voted for the people who rule us as of today! We should definitely move this particular discussion to another forum, where we could rant at each other safely without messing up other people's video-based praise.

Furthermore, I'm personally glad that Boll hasn't tried in his infinite Phaildom, to sue the godlike pants off of LRR. Pity if he does. For him.

"And yea, Graham saw the Boll call the gods fucking retards, and he did sya, 'Piss off, you hack,' and with a flick of his two first fingers, he did smite the heathen so-called 'film' maker, crushing him utterly. Then the almighty Graham did it again.
And again, until he was satisfied that the demonic Boll was truly destroyed to the utmost.

Then he did it again until he became bored and moved on."

He can't sue the site, it's freedom of speech. We're Canadian, and he's German, so I'm pretty sure somewhere in there, there's a law that says "Nobody cares, Uwe."

But there's problems with our own government and country, and even our own people. We're just as susceptible to the ignorance and xenophobia that any Americans have.

However, the difference between you and I in this regard is that I love my fuckin' country, and I love it to bits. I honestly mean it when I say BC is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can't imagine living anywhere but here or Australia.

But everyone says that. Even the people in New Jersey.

No, they don't. And even if they did, they'd be wrong.

It's 'Beautiful British Columbia' for a reason, man. Not 'Beautiful New Jersey'.

Does anyone think that Bowl will actually retire? After the counter turns to 1000000, he could just flip us the bird, and continue on with his job of destroying video game adaptations. Though, he is brilliant in his own way. Clearly he enjoys his job, he gets tons of money, and nobody expects him to do a good job. That's the dream right there. All he really has to do is put up with all of us for the rest of his life.

This video shows that subtle things are the best, the counter was brilliant, especially how it's growth rate increases throughout the video. Also, I believe working another porn gag into this video merits bonus points. Awesome.

For me, this video was very... meh... I think it was mostly due to the simple frequency of A9 videos lately... what with WGA No Way, and Max Effect. I realize there's months in between them, but when that's only about 12 videos for Boll & Max, and only 4 between Max and WGA, it seems very close together.

Most Americans love their country too. They just hate the way its going. All countries have moments of low popularity. Germany had WWII and America has...well its last three or four wars, but we can bounce back. You loved us during WWII and when we cause WWIII we will force you to love us.

I have a partial theory, amongst my alternative and primary theory of two levels of American society breaking up their intelligences, that the size of the American population is actually contributing to it's downfall.

See, most of the millions of Americans can legally vote. That's an extremely massive selection between the various states, so you'll pretty much end up with the average person's opinion of how things should run. Now this doesn't just apply to American humans, but the "average person" is something of an idiot.

So basically, America is so massive, that it's own population is averaging out to covort against them. Just a theory, I'm not sure I'd want to do the field work to prove it, because I'd probably get shot.

We need to get rid of all the idoits. Britain dumped all their convicts on Australia, so I say we put the world idiots in Antarctica. If they are learn enough to escape or form a successful government then they will be accepted. Any thoughts?

You might also want to try to experiment with different colours of the screen. Maybe in some cases you get better results with a black or white wall and luma-keying. If everything fails, I have an old framebuffer card for the PC which can make great blue-screen chroma keying when provided with an RGB input.

we film everything on our HD camera. in HD. (though graham informs me that we capture in SD - since we publish in SD for internet viewing.)

the problem is not the technology at our hands or our skills. our ability to green screen is limited by manpower, budget and timeline.

professional-looking greenscreen work is not done by one person over 4 hours working on his own, and not getting paid.

professional-looking greenscreen work is done by several people, working together over several weeks, and doing it as their full-time job.

buy enough shirts, and maybe we'll hire a digital effects team.

I could bug some of my dads friends who actually have done real professional green-screen for some tips or advice for doing it on the cheap. Also, I just fixed my dual halogen light stand, If you need another one of those.

That proves (a smidge) the whole "foot down throat" theory of international insight:
Only about 10% ish of those that are eligible to vote actually do. So...The ones that are voting are the ones that actually are somewhat educated on average, and likewise somewhat informed on the issues.

I HAVE done the field work. Belive it or not for this such an occasion.

And really, folks, would it be fair if a bunch of funny Unitedstatesian knotheads that normally acted friendly started insulting YOUR country with no evidence except for a few mostly accurate observations taken from the outside?

And then! Then! Imagine that they would not stop, because the logic of stupidity dictates that the more people are making fun of something, the more that that thing "needs" to be made fun of. And hey, they keep doing it, no matter how bigoted they sound. Most Americans that hate foreigners hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans because americans hate foreigners because foreigners hate americans....

You get the point? At least somewhat of a point?

Basically, stop claiming mastery of what it's like to be a citizen of said country and, in fact, to be in said country until you actually have that mastery.

And BC is one of the most beautiful friggin' places I've ever seen/been to, and if I ever had to live somewhere else, it's #2 on my list (after Scotland, before New Zealand).

It's third on my list, Scotland and Newfoundland beat it out (father's from Scotland, and Newfoundland just sounds like an awesome place with very beautiful parts).

As for making fun of Americans, I try to make it as obvious as possible that I'm insulting the stereotypical American's that everybody thinks of, but I really hope don't exist in the numbers generally thought of. Most Americans that I have talked to in person are nice people, and I have absolutely nothing against them.

To be perfectly frank, though I have many dear British friends, I find that British people are the most consistently unsavory folks that I have ever encountered.

Which makes me feel just...just terrible. Such a wonderful place, England.

(Sighing noise) Thank you sir. Most people of other nationalities other than I, including some on this wonderful site, that I have met absolutely hate us because they honestly believe that most if not all Americans are stupid redneck idiots.

Although, given where I'm living right now, I see their point. The line (in my mind) is crossed when someone goes from insulting the stereotypes who are ruining my beloved nation to insulting the country itself.

Ah, Wakulla County, where the land is the most beautiful (pretty swamps!), but the people are incredibly stupid. A person from WC is okey. People are stupid, ignorant, arrogant cockmuffins.

Guys, it's an HONORARY doctorate, I guarantee it. So he's just toting around a title. So he's probably a doctorate of philosophy in Liberal Arts.

So he can say "Do you want fries with that?" in 18 different languages.
