Got a copy from a friend who got a copy for ps3 and xbox360 due to some mixup in preordering or some such, he sold his xbox a while ago.

Free game for me, I have enjoyed it so far!

Woot!! GTA:IV get! My special edition came in yesterday, I got to platy for about an hour and already love everything (though the driving is weird to get used to having played on PS2 for all these years). I like how they brought the dating thing back. Anybody try the multiplayer yet? Is it any good?

Multiplayer is weak. There is 2 options to join a game. 1 where it puts you into a random server with the game type you want, and 1 where it puts you into a random lobby of the game type you want. No list of servers, some very noticable lag, weapon spawns are way too common, and the maps are way too big. You get each island. In the game each island is split up into districts, why couldn't the districts be the maps to chose from. They are a more reasonable size for MP than the islands are. Being in a deathmatch with 4 people and having to drive for 2 minutes just to get to 1 guy sucks.

I imagine things like servers, lag, graphical troubles, and all the complaints about the games will not exist in any PC version that comes out...

There hasn't been a PC version of last few titles Rockstar has made and they have yet to say anything about a PC version of this one.

You can dream though.

They made PC versions of pretty much all the previous GTA games. Why not this one?

I've been playing this far too much and i rather like it. I like the way cars handle in this, it seems more realistic, this means i crash alot more because i drive like a maniac.

Because there's a good chance Rockstar isn't making PC ports anymore. The last game came out four years ago.

Well then again, when was the last time you saw a ninja? They're sneaky, remember. They can be getting lucky in your pantry and you'd never know, because they're so stealthy.

I thought of that too, but you can't really boast about it either. A ninja has always got pride man

So do I. Whatcha gonna do about it? O.o

In all seriousness, I'm kinda wondering if the game is worth the hype. San Andreas was considered "teh shi'ite" not too long ago...I tried playing it (honestly did) and got bored faster than you can say "...I'm done." Soooo....reasons I should invest?

With the nearly-universal high scores GTAIV has been getting, I knuckled down and bought a copy today. Amazingly, they actually had it in town. It's kind of incredible.

I'll get up some early impressions tomorrow, after I've bashed some heads...I mean, experienced the living, breathing world of GTAIV and its Oscar-worthy storyline. Or something.

I don't care what reviews say about this game. I had an immense amount of fun just playing on the mountain in San Andreas and starting highway fires in the country. Unless GTA:4 restricts game play to a linear story, then it will be as much fun as I am expecting.

Despite planning to just wait until it got to PC, I passed EB today after seeing Iron Man (awesome movie), so I decided to break down and buy it for my 360. First impressions: Decent game, but I find the steering difficult, and GTA3 (never got VC or SA) started off better. I'm only an hour in though, so we'll see if it picks up.

It really sucks at first. The controls can be really annoying at first. But once you get used to it it gets better I find. I hated it at first but I'm enjoying it alot now.

The steering does take some getting used to, but you'd probably find it a bit difficult to steer if you were speeding around corners in a real car too.

I'm almost 50% through now. hoorah

QTF.

Also, IMO Ninjas > Pirates. Ninjas have Katanas. 'Nuff said.
