Woot!! GTA:IV get! My special edition came in yesterday, I got to platy for about an hour and already love everything (though the driving is weird to get used to having played on PS2 for all these years). I like how they brought the dating thing back. Anybody try the multiplayer yet? Is it any good?

Multiplayer is weak. There is 2 options to join a game. 1 where it puts you into a random server with the game type you want, and 1 where it puts you into a random lobby of the game type you want. No list of servers, some very noticable lag, weapon spawns are way too common, and the maps are way too big. You get each island. In the game each island is split up into districts, why couldn't the districts be the maps to chose from. They are a more reasonable size for MP than the islands are. Being in a deathmatch with 4 people and having to drive for 2 minutes just to get to 1 guy sucks.

I thought of that too, but you can't really boast about it either. A ninja has always got pride man

And pirate ninjas case worlds to implode and that's all I'll say about that
Maybe the occasional, "The" but that's about it

So do I. Whatcha gonna do about it? O.o
In all seriousness, I'm kinda wondering if the game is worth the hype. San Andreas was considered "teh shi'ite" not too long ago...I tried playing it (honestly did) and got bored faster than you can say "...I'm done." Soooo....reasons I should invest?

If you don't, Jack Thompson wins.
Wil Wheaton says "Game over, Moonpie."
With the nearly-universal high scores GTAIV has been getting, I knuckled down and bought a copy today. Amazingly, they actually had it in town. It's kind of incredible.
I'll get up some early impressions tomorrow, after I've bashed some heads...I mean, experienced the living, breathing world of GTAIV and its Oscar-worthy storyline. Or something.

Despite planning to just wait until it got to PC, I passed EB today after seeing Iron Man (awesome movie), so I decided to break down and buy it for my 360. First impressions: Decent game, but I find the steering difficult, and GTA3 (never got VC or SA) started off better. I'm only an hour in though, so we'll see if it picks up.
