Postby Paul » 05 May 2008, 11:05

We are totally keeping that costume. For what, I don't know.

For adventure, obviously.
Or for attracting the ladies.

Halloween?

Christmas? (Imagine that coming down your chimney with a bag full of technological 'toys'...)

For some reason the bit at the end with the flying cardboard man killed me. Probably because it was hilarious.

Excellent work as usual guys.

Very nice carboard suit!

Now if you had just shaded it yellow and red...

Very nice gags there, especially liked the "World famous Weapons Engineer. You have untill tonight to assemble my IKEA furniture" XD

"Ignore...ignore...ignore..."

Are you guys going to make topicality your 'thing' now? Maybe the site will get more hits this way.

Then again, Barats and Bareta got an NBC pilot without referencing...anything.

Good video, though. Definitely keep the costume...perhaps the character as well? It's a pity Graham is both Canadaman and Cardboard Man, because now you can't have the LRRvengers (unless you do some MAD split-screening).

We do try to be topical every once in a while, but it is really more of a coincidence that we have two trailers in a row.

Holy peas and rice, that's definitely one of the best videos I've seen any where in months. I could go for hours, so here's the short version...
FaceBook thing, frowny face on the bag, ikea furniture, and how closely it matched the trailer. Very well done.

The only thing I didn't like about the video was the title. There were no Iron Mans. False advertising, I say! Still: "Cardboard Man" would have ruined the ending, so I understand why you did what you did.

If I didn't know you worked on this with an effects budget in the general range of zero, I certainly wouldn't have guessed it from this video. Yay for production quality.

And this video is all the more awesome for the fact that Iron Man kicked tremendous amounts of ass.

Is Tony/Graham Stark using a windows notebook in that scene? The center was out of shot but if it was, I think it's a good bit of characterization seeing as typically Macs are used in in LRR videos.

I just got back from seeing Iron Man (which was excellent) and was thinking it'd be funny to make Duct Tape Man... but the suit would be so suffocating (I've made duct tape gauntlets before, and man are they uncomfortable).

Well, Duct Tape Man may be to Cardboard Man as War Machine is to Iron Man.

Also, need to know how you did the flying Cardboard Man. And also, an explanation as to why cardboard flies...

That was just...ridiculous. In fact, somehow, this may be the most ridiculous thing you've ever done. Even moreso than "fun with condoms". I don't know how, it just is.

One of your best videos. Awesomely ridiculous.
This may get you a fair bit of attention.
