While Canada is way down on the list of Oil Exporters, we have the world's second-largest oil reserves, and are the largest exporter of oil to the states. We also produced in 2006 1.2 billion barrels of oil, consumed 800 million barrels, exported 840 million barrels, and thus had to import 400 million barrels. So yeah, I really hope we're somehow importing oil at a lower cost than we're selling it at, otherwise I vote to reduce our oil exports by 400 million barrels.

...Also, do a barrel roll.

For the whole beginning of the podcast, I was thinking that the Bill thing was a rickroll. It's good to hear that he's not dead from throwing stars and other ninja paraphanelia.

Also, Bill's email box is OVER 9000!

I had to skip WWPN in case of spoilers.

Why do I want to now send Bill an e-mail saying "10,201"?

Actually Paul, BC did have what were called the Douglas Treaties on Vancouver Island, arranged by James Douglas. But they were the only ones in the province until recently.

Up here in Alaska, to settle with the native people, we have the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (Wiki Here, it's more interesting), which has worked out pretty well.

I've worked for or been involved with a surprising number of the Native Corporations here - my company does IT work for quite a lot of them, or works with the larger ones as contractors.

I got my question answered. Funny stuff :)

Btw, the Blackmetal band you were referring to is Mayhem not Emperor.

The wiki page isn't all that good but you might to watch a Headbangers' Journey for some more info. The DVD had an extra section of the Blackmetal in Norway too.

Youtube link for the DVD extra doc from Norway.

I just listened to the podcast the second time. Shut up. I was bored. And tired. Shut up. Anyway I refuse to listen to any portion of it again. What was that Black Metal band? I am kind of curious.

EDIT: Found it... Ick.
