Amp gaming tour

Postby Kawaiicaps » 06 Jul 2008, 08:58

http://www.ampenergy.ca

It's basically some video game contests and video gaming booths. The toronto event happened already but it is still moving across the country. Wanted to give a heads up for those that didn't know about it and was wondering who is going.
I'm going to the event in winnipeg this weekend.

I don't play any of the games, so... *shrug*

Yeah, it is kind of lame as far as the tournaments go.

No Brawl? No GH/Rockband? No Halo? No Tetris Attack?

Pfft.

There's actually a huge halo tourney, you just have to sign up before the event and they email you if you qualify.

Ah, alright.

Offtopic, but how long did it take you to get your game from goozex? (This if for Kawaii.) I signed up about a week ago and ordered my free game. ^_^

It depends on the game, you need to sait for it to be available. the best way to get one sooner is to click on "available" when you do your search and to also pick any games you are intrested in. i have had friends that get a game in about 2 weeks and some people take a few months. took me about 4 months the first time.

I'd be stoked for the gaming tour, but it turns out they aren't playing any games I'm interested in. Oh well.

You know... I went yesterday and other than the Halo 3 tourney there was not too much to really do.
They had a lot of game stations set up with difirent games from all popular systems but it's hard to get into a game standing up and in only a few minutes.

in the tourney, I constantly got 5th place so did not qualify for the next round, but my husband made it in to the next round, as well as 2 of my cousins which I think is really funny

so yeah, it really was nothing but Halo... but I like Halo so whatever.

I might go, I can compete in Grand Turismo 5, Call of Duty 4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Turok, and Gears of War.

Gotta start my training now cause I need speed, greasy fast speed!
