Is that the way the tune for Part Of Your World actually goes? I don't remember. Shouldn't then it be given some kind of credit? "To The Tune Of" or something. Where did you get the piano for it, or did Jer play it?

Anyway, very awesome, but too sad to be funny, at least for this old softie.

I gotta say Jer, I'm loving the song. Poor Superintendent for getting cockblocked by Microsoft.

Wow. For being about something I don't really have much interest in (not a Halo fan), I felt exceptionally touched.

DAMN YOU, LITTLE MERMAID.

Fantastic work, Jer. He's a looker, AND he sings?! The ladies should be ALL over you.

Oh AlexanderDitto. *canned audience laughter*

Tally IS the lady that's all over Jer.

As for the video, which Jer is saying is not this week's update,

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I also loved that randomly you added in a joke from middle school health class on the needs hierarchy. Well played.

Also, DAMN YOU ALLEN!, I was gonna ask for that lil guy as my avatar too. (Too slow I guess...)

That was awesome. No wonder the podcast was a little late... This makes it totally worthwhile!

I wrote this in a coffee shop, going back-and-forth between a YouTube video of the song, Textwrangler, and the actual lyrics. I was actually pretty nervous that someone would start looking at my screen, see me watching the same 3 minutes of the Little Mermaid over and over, and think I was some sick, perverted freak ;).

Shouldn't then it be given some kind of credit? "To The Tune Of" or something.

Probably. Credit where it's due.

Where did you get the piano for it, or did Jer play it?

I used a midi file that's been pretty widely distributed on the internet, and modified it to suit my needs.

Frankly, I'm a fan of musicals, and Disney musicals fall into that category. I dunno where the idea to conflate the Superintendent with this song came from (it sortof hit me out of the blue), but I'm glad it turned out WELL :).

The "what's that hierarchy...? Oh yeah: need" line made me laugh, and I appreciated the superior video work, but overall I'm fairly neutral. The video just doesn't speak to me.

Huh. Little mermaid, eh?

That's not what I thought of when I first heard it.

I remembered the comic, "Looking For Group"'s "Slaughter Your World".

If this says something about my mental sanity, I've definately gone off the deep end.

Maybe . . . we're giving it the attention of a "standard" video, but still considering it bonus content.

Being something that caters to mostly fans of a somewhat obscure viral marketing campaign, we figured it wouldn't be fair to make it the week's "main" update. Thus it's definately an extra . . . but it fits better into the category of "musical" videos than "bonus" ones.

"Slaughter Your World" was a parody of the same song.

Well, that was interesting. Watching it, I had no idea what The Superintendent was, or what the hell he was doing singing around on stage. Then I read the thread, and now it makes sense!

Nicely done, and uh...nice singing, Jer?

It's somewhat disconcerting that one of the apparently more popular videos outside the actual site is a bonus video in which none of the cast appears and where the voice of the only one that in any way appears is so distorted as to be unrecognisable...

Guess the bandwagon helps.
