Broken Podcasts

Was listening through the podcasts and noticed that a few don't seem to work. Season 4 finalle is one of them (Gets to a "not founds" page)

Tried it yesterday and now today, and it still don't work.

Just thought I'de mention it

I get that too with the Season 4 finale. I've been archiving the podcasts starting with the first posted & the old files seem to be fine so far. You should keep a list in case the crew needs help in tracking them down.

BTW, I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.14.

The Con seems to suffer from the same problem.

It would appear they are no longer on the server. And the server also seems to no longer have room for any more podcasts. Stay tuned.

Wouldn't it have been better to just check the broken podcasts than to resurrect a 13-day dead thread?

If there's no more room on the server then it seems rather obvious that more will be removed from the server as more new ones are added.

I do hope this gets fixed soon, however.

As of August 1, 2008, the following are broken:

Unnatural Resources - Apr 4, 2008
The Con - Feb 27, 2008
The Season 4 Finale - Oct 18, 2007

I think that's all that's missing at this point.

Could somebody upload these 3 to megaupload or something?

Juuuust checking because I'm a LRRCast Addict. Those podcasts don't seem to be updated for me...are they there or have you yet to acquire them?

I do go to Assorted Anonymous meetings every Thursday to try to fix this problem. It has yet to work.

As pointed out by the amativeness, are still down. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, I just loves me some podcasts and I'd love to have them up. Any updates?

If server space is an issue, the older podcasts could be farmed out to the internet archive.

They will host pretty much any media for free and I think that you're required to release stuff there under a creative commons license. I can't see that being a problem though, seeing as listeners have been actively encouraged to splice together a reel of Matt spewing obscenities.

Their availability and download speed is not always reliable and there is usually a short wait (a few hours) between something being uploaded and it being available for download.

I think this would be perfect for the older podcasts that don't get listened to very often these days.

Bumping for the sake of curiosity. Any progress, gentlemen, or has the rigors of a weekly output schedule compounded with real life and the upcoming season six premier forced you to forgo this project temporarily?

I have two of the three. With the third one (I don't remember which one) the initial version cut out maybe two thirds of the way through. A corrected version was put up, but I only seem to have the partial version on my computer.

Bring this up again when the LRR crew and I are less busy.
