Christmas Carolling on Halloween

Postby Paul » 04 Nov 2005, 18:33

This actually turned out way better then we expected. Not only did people love the concept, but we made off with a whole ton of candy. The only thing I was disappointed in was the complete lack of anyone joining in when we sung Jingle Bells down at the bonfire.

Two hallowe'en themed videos in a row? Insane!

Yeah, that would have been a real downer.. I think the reason they didn't really get it was because you didn't outnumber them like in every where else.

Power of situation, people!

Yes but were you intending on sing christmas carols? :)

And something else that might not have been mentioned is that we had no intention of getting any candy. We did not go out with bags or anything else to make it look like we were trick or treating it was just for the fact that we were singing christmas carols in October (not to say the candy wasn't welcomed :P)

Yes. :( We intended to burst into a rousing chorus of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" when people opened the doors, lol. :P

Buuuuut I'm sure we'll still do it next year, as we are uncreative losers. ^^

Wow that was amazing. Pretty darned good.

It was the 'unimpressed' people that were the best. How about for christmas you do 'We wish you merry hanuka.' Or knock on people's doors and go into a rant about the comercialisation of christmas and how it was stolen from a Pagan festival anyway and how it has lost all meaning. Or would that be considered harrasment.

I mean you could make up christmas carols but with entirely new lyrics and then go carolling again. It could be some kind of LRR festive treat for your audience that each festival you do some sort of 'go out in the streets' thing.

I wouldn't call this sheer stupidity because it's absolutely briliant!

The best thing I can suggest if the video only downloads part-way is to empty your cache. For instructions on how to empty your cache, check out this web site:

I liked the bit about the little kid who was almost crushed, but it was self-defense because he was dressed up like a dragon.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

Just out of curiosity, where did you go? One of the houses looked like my friend's, so it could be quite possible that you went to his house. However, I didnt recognize anybody in the houses XD
