Introduce yourselves! (A friendly topic for new members)
I like the Arcade Fire too, at least, I quite like what I've heard.
But are they really "OMFG BEST BAND EVAR!!?!?" like David Bowie says they are? (that was paraphrasing).
You mean, you haven't heard their entire LP and re-released EP??!? But seriously, I would never actually describe any band as something like the "best band ever." They're really catchy and enjoyable, and I like that they're (apparently) awesome live. But it's yet to be determined if they have staying power. I hadn't given much thought to their follow-up album, but now you've got me worried. Those are often so disappointing.
Kathleen, I haven't heard the new Castanets yet. I have it but I'm still waiting for the "perfect moment" to listen to it, I guess. I'm really curious to hear what it sounds like, though.
Which is your favourite Sufjan album?

Hello. My name is Petter Wellbring (Lars somewhere in the middle of that) I'm 18 and oh so new to these forums. I'm... well nuts about anime and manga as so many others, the same for video games so around you I'm basicly a normal lad, who kicks his own english teachers ass in the english lingo. Oh and I'm in Sweden where studying costs nothing! So I'm pretty good off. I'm about 170 cm and weigh about 60 something. Train Krav Maga weekly. Might start with snooker too.

Heh... 60.
Most Canadians weigh like Yankees (using lbs, not kilos or stones or whatnot.) So pushing a meter and three quarters and weighing about 60... 60lbs is, what, 25-30 kilos? (I can't convert junk to save my life) Whatever it is, it makes for a very strange mental image.
There's so much humour in so many things for people who are sufficiently ignorant...

Yeah, I've got roughly the same dimensions as you, so at least *I* know what you're talking about, even if no one else loves you. Is that Lars as in... Lars Winnerback by any chance? Ooooh. (Well, obviously not, but I don't care).
Oh just need to run some swedish by you: 'Sattä på en skygg lapp.'
That's the first phrase, I hope I spelt it right, so I'm just asking you what it means to see whether I've understood it correctly.

I decided not to read all of that...I did that once for one forum, it was 25 pages long...yeah that took a while to read. The point of the topic was to get as many pages as we could, and it got to almost 200 before it "accidentally" got erased
Anyways, I just joined the forums, my name is "JesterJ." As you can see and...yeah......just saying "Hi" because you know,..that's what it says to do...

Hey, I'm Unimatsuriku Neguseptimi Oshiguma (Although people call me Uni for short) and I just joined after having downloaded practicaly every video available and ordering the dvd (obsessive?).
I'm a 17 yr old Media student from a little place called Braintree, in England.
I like internet comedy, video games, movies, that Electronica music stuff (you know dance, trance, happy hardcore, drum and bass and all that jazz? Although I also like rock, jazz, pop and japanese styles), I'm fond of writing occasionaly, doing alot of art (http://Unimatsuriku.deviantart.com), and I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Dance Dance Revolution.
I think that about does it, I'll go scout for stuff to talk about now. *salute*.
