Or, see this

I'm liking these naming schemes. Not that I'm going to copy them, but they're still awesome.

My PC is named glados as well. She was a bitch to get running right, and she's still a bit temperamental. *strokes his PC lovingly* It's okay gladdy, I won't let any mean test subjects blow you to tiny bits.

Erm... yeah.

Then there's my man crush on Link(specifically OOT Adult Link), and thusly, my Eee 900 is named Link.

My Creative Zen is just named Chris right now. I'm thinking of naming it "L". Death Note FTMFW.

Sounds suspiciously like my system:

Laptop: Ramuh
Other Laptop: Kirin
Old-Old webserver: Shoat
Old webserver: Doomtrain
Current Webserver: Crusader

There's little overlap, so I guess I can let it slide.

Any laptop I own gets the name J.C. Denton named after the lead character from my favorite game.

Any piece of electronics that is repeatedly dropped, but keeps working gets the name Harvey Dent.

I name al of my computers/hard drives/things that Windows recognizes as drives after various kings and/or rulers.

My iPod is Claudius II (my first iPod, the original Claudius, died, hence the successor).
My thumb drive is named Gilgamesh.
My external hard drive is Ozymandias.
And my computer is named Wilhelm.

During an episode of the Sopranos, Tony was moving some illicit funds around and he mentioned to his wife that he was transferring some cannolis. So my iPod is named TransferCannoli because it was originally used mostly in the transfer of illictly acquired music.

I'm kinda disappointed nobody named their USB Key "The Sword of 1000 Truths".

My USB keys are, for some reason, named after pork products. Since I lose them and buy new ones, so far I think I've had PORK, BACON, SAUSAGE, PANCETTA, LOINROAST and PORKCHOP.

My last computer was named Isaac, after Isaac Newton.

My current box has no name. Though in my defense, it is a Vista system, so it sucks by default and deserves no name.

Consider if you will: A small team of megalomaniac programmers create the first SkyNet EVAR and it is a feeble piece of crap. They produce a feeble piece of crap terminator that is basically a glorified toaster which can time travel and burn people's toast really badly. So they send it back to 1980, which splits the time line. In this second time line, 1980's people receive said Doom Toaster and reverse engineer it to make the first SkyNet in their timeline, but the second in ALL time lines. This second one is a little better than the first, and the toaster is given some fancy guns and an arm with which to wield them.

Continue down this path a-la recursion...

Maybe by the time we've split the time line 20 or so times, SkyNet is a beastly mother fucker which can do everything on its own. Maybe in this 20th timeline, the first SkyNet is the one from the movie, reverse engineered from a terminator who was created in the 19th time line.

Using this method, there is no overlap of time lines and thus no paradox.
