The Bet

Postby Graham » 24 Feb 2006, 18:18

We had fun shooting the "talk talk talk" shot.

I say "we" and "fun", but what I mean was we had fun, while Paul stood there for 10 minutes, and then did it all again after Morgan knocked the camera over.

Good times.

As an aside, I recently re-discovered how much I enjoy Super Mario World.

That turned out awesome Graham! Wow, I am impressed with how you edited all the "sharade" shots together. However, watching you undo and do up your zipper over and over, was also, amusing.

The "talk talk talk talk!" is also pretty keen. And I decided to erase Bill's game to make room for one of your very own on teh SNES! Awwww. You're part of the fam now....

I loved the hole in the door bit :) I'll use that trick myself if I ever make a video with someone going crazy in it :D

We loved it! (Myself and the pretty previous poster subterratigress).

'twas sheer brilliance!

Nice ending. Sort of reminds me of the joke Quentin Tarantino tells in Desperado.

I always take the "u" thing too far...today I spelled sorceress "Sourceress" and someone was like "hey! I get it! like...sour-saurus!"....and I was like "um.....no..."

KICK ASS video...I found the last few a little blah, but this perked me up entirely. I loved the cell phone bit. And, of course, the "talk talk talk".

Hooray for you guys!

OMFG I LOVE YOU. AND NOT FOR THE REASONS MOST WOULD BELIEVE *deep breath*. The ringtone! Take On Me, by Reel Big Fish (if its not, I'll eat my own socks.) I can't believe someone else ACTUALLY knows that band! Woo!!

Anyways, on to the video..It was really good, the whole concept was kind of confusing (but this is my 40th hour awake, so I'm starting to get a bit..a bit.....mrehmrehmreh). Good besides that though, I liked the cell phone part and the part where the girl whispers in his ear. Gj on another great video! :D

While I DO know Reel Big Fish, they are good, and I know their cover of Take On Me, the original (and the version in the ringtone) is by Norweigan one-hit-wonders A-Ha.
Remember? The one with the groundbreaking music video?
No?

And now, the obligatory:

Reel Big Fish? I mean sure, they're good but... Take on Me? ...mumble grumble...

You want some ketchup with those socks? :D

The moon is not the Earth's only natural satellite, I'm ashamed of you...

The 'Talking' bit at the end was just so cwute! The different angles of 'talk' but then the running away with Graham's arms flailing like some orang-utan in heat; if ever the ape becomes extinct I'm sticking him in a cage, just so I can still have one. Graham, I noticed on two [or more] occasions it looked like you were trying not to laugh, most noticably on the 'pokey pokey'.

The A-Ha reference was definitely much appreciated.

(even apparently for those who didn't get it properly)

You really have a thing for Battlestar Galactica, or just Edward James Olmos.

It is mostly just Edward James Olmos. Not only is his name really fun to say, but he looks so serious on TV that picturing him in one of our videos causes me no end of amusement.

Loved the video. But I have a question. Did you guys really put a hole in the door? It doesn't look fake, but i'm an idiot so what do I know.

I love A-Ha, I remember actually watching that video on MTV when I was a kid.

But one-hit-wonders they are not... They in fact had TWO hits...

What's the other you ask?

Well none other than the theme song for the great "Living Daylights" Yes, a James Bond movie gave stage to A-HA!!!

lol, sorry I am an 80s music geek... Where did you get that ringtone by the way? I must have it!!!

and I enjoy Reel Big Fish's cover but come on...
