The stick man

Postby Ash » 02 Mar 2006, 16:21

Graham. I am ready for the stick man video. we can make it into a series. The creative proccess of bill designing, the actual stunt, and the shocked reations of showing our friends this ludricous waste of money.

It'll be delightful. Call me and I'll set up the appointment. ^^

::edit:: Okay, okay, I should have emailed this to graham because only a few other people will know what I'm talking about but... well so what now you can all marinate in suspense!

The English language... to tired to rant right now but...

Cough, through.
Close, close.
Pronounce, Pronunciation.

Close turned up twice because of the two ways of pronouncing it... with pronunciation.

Oh, and 'tyre' not 'tire' and 'colour' not 'color' and it is perfectly fine, if not proper to use 's' instead of 'z' in some cases. Civilisation.

But 'Z' is more 'futurey.'

Also, we North Americans include terminating punctuation inside our quotation marks even if it's not part of the quoted phrase, while you English leave it outside, where it is vulnerable to terrorist attack.

Just don't come complaining to me when your commas and periods get firebombed by dirty for'ners.

Ohnono, it's just the French. Though we attacked them with the word 'weekend'. Hah, they just couldn't take the heat.

I think most of us can agree, it's 'zed'.

Skoll! (or however you spell it)

I think I stopped using zeds entirely the day I read a book with a character named "Elisabeth." It's just so much more elegant to use ess' than zeds.

One thing I really hate is 'analyze'. That's not even right in American English, but some use it anyway, the horror.
