LRRcast for commodoreHUSTLE 07

Postby Jer » 15 Apr 2009, 01:54

It's up and totally unremarkable. Might as well skip this one (I know I would).

This week we discuss stuff and wait for Graham to interrupt us. Also, I'm a lazy editor, and we do away with the Christian rock. All this and more!

Personally I prefer the commodore music to the christian rock.

And we'll always know

Now, as regards the shooting me or Elomin, do you mean I'll meet my end in a video or a dark alleyway with blood and bullets?

But they were pretty seemless if you were only paying... 80 percent attention (I always play vidja games when listening to podcasts).

Matt, I believe the vampire you are thinking of is Alice. Which is a good choice because of all my friends who absolutley hated the movie, they all agree that Alice is the most awesome character of the whole fucking movie.

Yay no more christian rock!

annnd as I type that sentence we switch to... christian ska?

I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

Death and Doom in FF games always bothered me. They're great so long as you're fighting the right level things, but in the long term they make no sense to learn. They're pretty much the cheapest thing you can do in a game like that. Though it is kind of hilarious when you encounter enemies where all they can do is cast those spells and they have absolutely no effect.

Paper versions of Cease and Desist letters are always fun. Someday I kind of want to get mine framed. It's almost like a badge of honor.

And yes, we do like it when you interact with us Graham (at least I do), and the same goes for the rest of you too. It's nice that you guys actually... ya know... care about your fan base.

Oh man. I really couldn't stop laughing at the clever editing. Plus your addition of the editors voice makes it win even more. For me listening to this podcast while working.. I got alot more done for some reason.

Something tells me too that Jer pulled a Graham and started to cackle/"muhaha" voice while editing. I can see it.

<thought bubble>Matt is talked but OH NOES I "accidentally" put Graham's bit in to interrupt him. MUHAHAHA.</thought bubble>

I really liked the interlacing of the LRR and G-casts. Good work Jer.

I don't have any comment on the recorded material.. just how it was edited. Sorry.

EDIT: As an aside, you guys should figure out a naming convention for your podcasts on iTunes.

So, uh...

I tried to change that post, and I looked for half and hour for it.

Is there a way to search your old posts?

I actually found the Graham/normalcast interlacing to be very jarring. Just an opinion.

Also: First minute of that podcast: Most confusing first minute ever.

I like the whole "what if it like cuts in midsent-Gcast WOO" deal. The fact that it happens twice makes it better.

Well, this was the very first LRRcast I've listened to, and I enjoyed it. I've tried to think about whether or not I have anything else to say, and nothing's coming to me right now. If I come up with something, y'all will be the first to hear it.

So . . . yeah. I'll be listening to more in the future.

But it will expand and engulf Earth.

Please don't mess with the date conventions for the podcasts. It will only confuse people trying to sort through the archives; and really there's nobody else who needs the dateline anyway.

It's already a huge pain sorting through them, since the file, track, artist, album, genre and album-artist names are all completely inconsistent and often erroneous. I think some have random track numbers also. Downloading them en masse is also a challenge since you have to open the player window to access the files directly.

Can you tell I've been holding this all in for awhile? ;)

When Graham said 'It's been awhile and I just don't remember,' it reminded me of when he describes the Roger Moore Bond commentaries. It makes me smile to think I've heard so much of you guys that I'm capable of being bored by an oft-repeated story. :D

I agree with everyone that the editing made this podcast more fun to listen to.

Actually, by some calculations, the sun's gravity will have weakened enough by the time it goes red-giant to have swung the Earth out into a wider orbit, thus sparing it from engulfment and destruction (but only barely).

Also, I think you said Graham's attic was only previously used for Who Watches Movies?

I think it was also used for Quantum Documentary, n'est pas?

Why do I keep wanting to use French colloquialisms today?

Pourquoi j'ai parler seulement en questions? Est-ce que mon français correcte?

Fun surprise Graham inserts. I liked them. And hey, if any of you guys find yourselves in the Chester neck of the woods for a couple of days and need a place to stay, well, I'd be happy to provide :)

Not that Chester's really that interesting, tbh :P

I don't know if it was the same attic, but if it was, than it was also filmed in Eyewitness Accounts.
