I'm a little obsessed by this game...

Who you care about is the debut album from a Post Rock 10 piece GPM6B. Hauntingly dark the album explores a whole plethora of instruments, from the enchanting wails of a violin to the deep musings of an oboe. The album is all one song divided into 4 movements, each about 30 minutes long.

Image

The Drouth burst onto the scene with their lively brand of power metal. Torturing their guitars through 12 tracks of sheer genius this 5 piece from Chicago really know how to rock. it's not all show however, behind the songs is a deep seated, rage fueled message, drawing upon experiences from the band's own lives, brought stunningly to life by Dave Lyons brilliantly written lyrics.

Image

'Heck out of you' is a soulful debut album from Henry Wylie Moore. the album jumps manically between light Jazz and full blown soul music. if it could decide on a genre it would be a great album, as it stands it feel like two albums were sent opposite ways round the LHC and this was the result of their forbidden union.

Artist: Cajuína
Album: Things, That Takes Religion

Brazilian synth rock fusion pioneers Cajuína surge onto the world scene with their vibrant debut, "Things, That Takes Religion". Set against a background of swirling soundscapes, Cajuína's driving basslines and funky drum loops underpin a wry lyrical take on modern life. Highlights include uplifting first single "You Must Undergo It" and album closer "Summon Up The Blood", a frenetic tribute to power metal.

Artist: Kashiwabara Station
Title: rather than the victim

A new and controversial japanese Band that was born in retrospect to the brutal incident 3 months ago. They show the dichotomy between the actor and patient, revelling in the absurd while still portraying the subject in a soulfull manner.
Album also includes Bonus Track: "every time but now"

crop your images square! >.<

it makes it a little more challenging, and then it ACTUALLY looks like an album cover. album covers are square! Even MS paint can do it!

Mangalore Bajji combines the traditional sounds of Southeast Asia with an eclectic brand of folk rock. Their self titled debut album made a big splash early last year, and their sophomore release lives up to their title as "revolutionaries in the indie rock genre."

Image

The Chariot returns with their 4th release, and "Say Nothing, Be Nothing" is right, because this album does absolutely nothing. The Chariot has always been regarded for their quality lyrics, and in this regard, this album holds up, but unfortunately, when the singing stops and the instruments begin, you can't help but feel you're listening to a group of 8th graders attempt to play "Snow (Hey Oh)" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Skip it.

Oh... right. In my defense, it was late, and I was already giddy with glee that somebody resurrected this game.

"obsessed by" is one of my grammar pet peeves. I first noticed it in Twilight, and now I come across it distressingly often. You can not be obsessed by something - you can be obsessed with it, or you can be possessed by it, but you cannot be obsessed by it.

That is all.

I'd like to think that Airon-Notre-Dame is a character on Le Aventures de Mimi et le Bicyclette Magique, and this isn't so much of a debut album as one of those story books that came with a record, and you can read along with the record (turning the page when you hear the sound of the gong), as you experience the Airon-Notre-Dame's hilarious misadventures as she tries to become Vice President, and learns the most important lesson of all - there is a difference between Canadians and Americans.

("refuge of the complex" didn't sound as good, so I kept the full phrase. Sue me; blind adherence to arbitrary rules is worse than not having rules at all, especially when dealing with creativity.)
