Kingdom Hearts (spoilers possible)

Postby Hakaryu » 26 Apr 2009, 07:08

So I just started playing KH2 for the third time and even after a few years its still a fantastic game, better then some of the best Final Fantasy games when it comes down to the story.

Now the question I have is about the story of the past few games. Where the hell is the story going? You beat Ansem in the first one to only find out that it wasn't the real Ansem. You find out in the second one that Organization XIII is made of the shadow copies of living people.

Whats going to happen next?

I loved the second game, but I still hate how I had to play as Roxas in a tutorial-like world for like 3 hours before the real game started.
I can't think of a signature.

I never got past the tutorial plotline when playing it myself. That was one of the worst intros to a game ever, in my opinion. It could learn a thing or two from Bioshock's "tutorial" level.

That being said, it could be anything. To be honest, the storyline for those games is about as straight as Richard Simmons in a room full of male Swedish wrestlers.

Just sayin'.

Oh, who knows. Personally, I found the plot to the Kingdom Hearts series to be almost sickeningly childish, but the games were fun enough to play that I just didn't care. So long as they don't bring back the cards...oh, cards, how I hate you...

KH starts off rather cildish but it gets better with time. I mean the people of Organisation XIII can't seem to stay in the same building for more then an hour without starting to kill off one another.
And the story comes from the FF8 school of writing; which means that things weren't meant to make sence.

But hey, I liked the games (only played the ps2 ones)

It's not about making sense. I can more-or-less make sense of both KH games (and FFVIII, for that matter, at least while playing it), it's the trite and cliched symbolism and dialogue straight from the worst Saturday Morning Cartoons that kills it.

And the games are chilled awesome, so long as you avoid Chain of Memories like the plague.

I love the series. I'm hoping the handheld games are just as good.
This signature is mediocre.
