Holiday

Postby Graham » 21 Apr 2006, 18:00

Johnny_Lunchbox sent us a script for a story guy skit, which he said needed some changes on the end.
As it is we kind of rewrote a lot of it, cause we kept getting progressively sillier ideas.
But the way we usually write this guy is to start with a basic framework, and then we add the weirdness. This way, the framework was all done, and came with about 50% of the weirdness already. So it saved us a lot of work.

Thanks, Johnny, for pre-weirding the script for our conveinience.

At four videos, this guy is our most recurring character, and probably deserves his own category.

No, thought that would have been good. The Book of Stan is red.

Can you guess what it is though?

Yes. Specifically in these vids.
That should really be all you need if you note the other things he's packing.

So, this guy is officially "Story Guy"?

I figured you'd give him an official name, or at least his own subchapter in the site, not just under "shorts".

You made it! You actually made it!

I was very worried that I'd completely missed the mark somehow, but it seems to have turned out fine. Very good job refurbishing and sillysaturating.

And good call with the title, too; the way I had it completely undershot the subtlety of the story man.

For a name, might I suggest "The Monologuer" as a start?

Btw, nice work with the "I'm not much of a storyteller" line.

If he had a name, it'd be a long string of surnames from around the world, like Johann Pedro Mbutu Chang Achmed Rasputin

It was "Cheese Man's Name". Or something along those lines. ('Cheese Man', of course, being a reference to his wacky Germanic grilled-mayo-and-cheese recipe).
