I did this with Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. The game had two endings, but the 'good' ending was difficult to get, the game itself was the worst in the trilogy, and the plot of #3 assumed that you finished #2 'correctly'. So, fuck that shit. I cheated to find out where to go to finish the criteria in that one.Yaxley wrote:I agree. I'll look at FAQs for games to see if they have multiple endings.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
Just popped in here to say that this was one of the better podcasts in terms of listening entertainment, I highly suspect the addition of multiple women in the room is responsible for this. That is all.
My train of thought is more like a roller coaster that has loop de loops and no safety bars.

Yes Graham, you're right. I would pay $5 just to subscribe to the forums. Not because I'm a sucker, but because it's such a good community. Even if it would only be the crew, me, Elomin Sha, Lyinginbedmon & Alja. On the plus side I'd have enough room to invite everyone over for parties at the House of Evil™. And I am certain Alja would love my working model trebuchet.
I happen to like North Carolina by the way. It's where Bob Moog lived for many a year & where the Moog factory still resides. It's where my theremin came from & where I went to the Ethermusic Fest last spring that celebrated the same. I wouldn't live there tho'.

Hey Graham, put it in mpeg format. Quicktime does not work properly on my system, and the podcast was always the only reason I ever had to actually have quicktime on my computer.

See, that's why I only wanted to mention a few people, because the more names I listed, the more it would suck for anyone I forgot.
I mentioned the three I did because between the wiki, the LRRmon channel and general purchasing of stuff (respectively) Bedmon, Sha and Jim immediately jumped into my head.

I'd pay too, mostly to support LRR, but also because this site is made of so much win I'd be stupid not to

I'm kinda glad you noted me and Sha for the wiki and LRRmon, as opposed to our manic post wars
That would be a slightly embarassing running gag to have immortalised in audio.

I'm in the top ten now and Elomin is a comfy 70 posts behind, so I'm pretty content as is.

1) Between this podcast and last week's podcast, I'd like to vote that LRR do away with all special effects and replace them with shots of Paul describing what happens in a deadpan voice.

Hence why I'm hoping to reach #9.
The problem being that's about 300 posts away and Matt.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
Please don't treat the ranking of post counts as some sort of special thing. It will just result in a lot of lame posts.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
Lyinginbedmon consider, if you reach #9, Elomin Sha will match you. You would be directly resposible for pushing moderator Matt out of top 10. The fact that you got to the top ten first is as indicative of your posting victory as you're gonna get.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
I know Graham, I've tried hard to ensure that each and every post made as part of the wars is in some way contributory to it's thread, else I would have just given myself titles in Rank The User Above You all day. As said though, I'm basically done.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
Frankly, I couldnt care less about post rankings.
What I do get miffed about is ridiculous post wars and post count padding that results in seeing certain people's names in the "last post" field a disproportionately large amount of the time.

The real point is, post count should never even enter your mind when considering whether to post or not. It's not a game.

Re: LRRcast for The Dinner Party
It was just a running joke between me and Sha, I'm not like that on any other forum.
And now the joke is dead.
