Re: 'Skeeterpellant
How has no one mentioned the combination of flammable, radioactive, and shrieking explosive diarrhea warning symbols on the can? It says something about the other side effects if SED wasn't even worth talking about.
Nicely done!

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
Aw man I just watched it again and laughed just as hard as the first time. The longevity bit is just amazing.
I don't know what this says about Graham but he still has the ability to look his age and also look 5-8 years younger without his beard or with a backwards baseball cap.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
I have to say excellent job. I have never laughed so hard at an internet video, seirously this was fucking awesome!
Re: 'Skeeterpellant
It's strange: I was wondering just yesterday if Graham and Paul would still be able to imitate looking five years younger (I was fantasising about LRR doing a retrospective video about the one-year retrospective video looking back on Quantum Documentary, and somehow getting into a referential loop – but that's by-the-by) and by God it's possible. You pulled it off really well, Graham. I can see you shaved the beard. Did you also do your hair differently? And maybe had a different facial expression? That's the thing: I can't put my finger on it, but all I know is that it worked.
The other thing I love is the tiny reference to CDAA at the end. Also yesterday I was reading the Sure-icide label, and saw that that too was endorsed by them. I love knowing that they still exist, in their dark, dingy office, arguing about stupid things and approving items for the sake of it.
I also love the ad.
And I see that Skeeterpellant (great name, by the way) may cause SED.

I'd like to get on here early enough to make a post that doesn't merely echo all the good points made before me :p
But, hey, that's the nature of a forum - especially critiquing videos.
I like many others, enjoyed the "laid-back" approach to humor in this one. Made me kind of nostalgic towards the older videos in the archieves. Simple idea, very well executed.
Are skeeters even that much of an issue in Victoria? I remember when I lived on the island, I hardly ever saw them...

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
Now, cancer and death aside, wouldn't it have made more sense for Graham to lose the beard after using Skeeterpellant?
I'm pretty sure if it can sterilise him it should remove his beard at least.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
That was a really nice vid. Quite soothing, but with a radical subject. You get a "glowing review". Sorry for that.
I just wish I hadn't recently undergone an exam so grueling that I never want to hear about anything involving physics for the next two years at least, and yet my overdose of cramming has caused me to notice it in any and all situations I'm in (not to mention someone up there really likes tormenting me. I swear even my comedy shows involve physics! ARRGGGG!!!) In summary, the reference to radiation really didn't help maintain the shreds of sanity I had left. Thanks!
Also, I'm willing to bet that that spray is to blame for the marks (it is turning him into the devil). Ah Yummies, you evil corporation you.
Please excuse me as I go and wish I could bang my head into the wall, if only I couldn't stop thinking of the equation for that collision which would allow me to determine the force which I am exerting onto my head...NOOoooooo!!!

That was awesome. Nice, simple, and highly specific humor. My favorite.
Are they implying that by being superradioactive, that he will live three lifetimes to eat all those cakes?

As has already been said: simple but still very enjoyable. There's a certain kind of purity to this one. The "looking back" sort of feeling really makes it work.

Haha, I loved it. Every bit of uranium sulfate, too.

I can't believe after five years they're STILL #1 in Uranium Sulfate! Way to go Yummies Brand.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
I am so, so excited that this video is an almost exact parody of this commercial. Brilliant.
I liked this one a lot for the different humour it brings. It's very sparing and measured in its approach. Well done.

I'm fairly certain there was a warning for Shrieking Explosive Diarrhea on that label. Might want to keep staying away from Graham.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
Well Morgan in Morgan's Problem seemed to have acquired the ailment from eating something from the night before, so given that Graham used the spray half a decade ago I don't think it's going to be an issue.
That said, "rays of pure happiness" are worth steering clear of him for.

Fucking loved Graham's acting in this one. His little rants and tangents just made this video for me.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
We laugh now, but come mosquito season and a trip to the grandparent's summer-cottage, those sideeffects are gonna start looking mighty tolerable.

Re: 'Skeeterpellant
Very nice. I applaud the sacrifice of a beard for comedy. Also, this reminds me of what I learned about mosquito repellent from MST3K: "When you're out in the woods, you can't beat OFF!"
Re: 'Skeeterpellant
Graham can boil an egg on his buttocks even without radiation. Me-ow
Creepiness aside, that was pretty good.
How many bites did you actually get while filming this?

AmazingZoidberg wrote:Great stuff, the music made it for me. Pitch perfect for the type of commercial you were parodying, it added a sense of soothing calm while dealing with the tragic subject matter of Graham's berries.
thanks AmazingZoidberg!
also, it's funny you should say 'pitch-perfect,' because when i made the track last night, i specifically played the harmonica solo as badly and as out of tune as possible to add to the track's 'hick' nature.

Best writing in a long time.
Oh shit, it was a J_L sketch? Well, my point still stands, I enjoyed this more than most of the most recent videos (besides CH).
