Best story?

Warcraft, the whole story and all of the lore is awesome and as is the case with most things that turn into MMO's: It's sweet to watch the story develop and to be a part of it.

Am I the only one who is saying Diablo?
It is not so much the story itself as the story revolving around the game.

I mean I like the warcraft story as well (the starcraft story could do without the novel) but I just like it more

However the entire story revolving around the diablo series has always intrigued me. Staring from the Diablo 1 booklet up until playing all the games until it's maximum capabilities (okay I only did uber tristram on my smite pally....) and afterwards reading all the novels.

In all honesty Blizzard would do good making a new type of RTS called "Diablo: the sin wars" where you play as either heaven or hell and you can control humans in several ways.
This way your tech tree differs from where your opponent techs, seeing as humans are quite powerful in the diablo storyline.

The Jak and Dexter trilogy does have a mind blowing story.Other good sotries? Hmmm. Warcraft has a very extensive and in depth story. So much stuff to know.

There is also FFTA. But NOT EVER TA2.

Speaking of story, Christian Humber Reloaded should get a video game.

For me it is the stories that drew me in and kept me there because it made my mind believe it was real:

Star Wars TIE Fighter
Monkey Island Series
Ocarina of Time coupled with Majora's Mask
Final Fantasy VII

Odin Sphere. I love how the 5 storylines intertwine, how you suddenly get epiphanies as something that happened two arcs ago suddenly clicks. It's very well written and acted even better, and thus became the most enjoyable experience I've ever had playing a video game, despite it's difficulty.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Grand Theft Auto IV and I'm playing through Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 right now and I'm enjoying the story.

Valkyria Chronicles, Shadow of the Colossus and Jeanne D'Arc. Now that I look at my list I see the only 2 strategy RPGs that I've played. Maybe I just love strategy RPGs and not know it.

CC:FFVII and FFVII is a great story when combined. I can't comment on how well FFVII:AC or Dirge of Cerberus fit into the story because I've never experienced them.

Awww Thank you for reminding me of Majora's Mask!!! The best part of it is all the intertwinement of all the characters. Everytime I get in a discussion of Legend of Zelda, I bring up how MM is the best Zelda game, and possibly game in general, made ever. And then 9/10 of the time, this is met with everyone saying how they didn't like it because they were too fail to get past the whole 3 day thing.

I have beat that game sooo many times. On many occasions I set out with the goal of obtaining every conceivable thing before completeing the first temple. That includes going into the temple and getting whatever items and all the fairies. In the end You're only short the mask of scents, some hearts, a bottle and the gilded sword.
