Awesome episode indeed. But a question do arise; Why would a shark be using lightning bolts?

Also, the Bearsharkocalypse is upon us

I agree this episode felt a bit different, more like a standard sit-com, perhaps lacked some momentum. I guess cH has always done things differently each episode, though. It was still awesome, Kate stole it for me. So that leaves Andy, Raymond and some of the Vancouver crew who've yet to appear in cH. Maybe Raymond will even get a speaking part...?

In regards the ending scene with Paul, Kate's brother and the LARPers, you should take that clip and post it to youtube. As a stand alone sketch it really works and it seems like it would get more hits than a full episode. Also, to the LARPers, you guys were awesome. How come you've never been in a sketch before?

I don't know that "more like a sitcom" is negative criticism.
30 Rock is a sitcom. It is also really funny.

I mean, it IS a sitcom, in that it's a situation comedy. So... I don't know.
Thanks?

James wrote:Secondly for anyone wondering about the plot our reasoning was to have one more silly one off episode before delving into the last 2 episodes which I can assure you will bring us right back to the main focus of the season!

Oh no. So you're saying that this one was the silly filler episode that comes before the grand finale which is full of drama, unexpected main character deaths, and lots of tearful moments?
Like the episode of Cowboy Bebop where Ed leaves, or that sports episode of Eureka Seven.

Scary..
~I'm probably not serious~
Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

Well, not exactly.
It'll still be pretty silly. But, yes, more plot-based.

I think the sitcom lay out is good, surely that's what hustle is about anyway? Establishing the crew as what they really are while also being entertaining.

I noticed a pice of paper on the ground as everyone was walking awway from the funeral.. was that just some rubbish that happened to be there, or was that the script, worked into shot like you guys allways try to?

Also, I think the reason the shark was using electricity attacks is becuse the first shark says "This is my brother, Flipperfin. He is a master of electric eel interrogation, it would not be wise to bait him" .. so, yeah. :P

Was it possible Paul's Etchasketch S.W.I.M.T.E.A.M. mod was picking up the shark's battle network instead of the police one? Or were the police (quite rightly) reacting to a bear LARPer approaching town with as much alarm as a real bear approaching town? I also think it would have been awesome if his translation attempts on the etchasketch had been successful :D

Were you allways planning a rival street gang, or was my suggestion in the "Fun With X" video thread the seed of it? ;)

Awesome vid, as allways guys :)

I'm glad I got to this before work today, because watching a 20 minute sitcom would've been frowned upon. I loved this one. So many one-liners and even a completely-integrated "Son of Bitch" in-joke. It's like Graham said int he latest podcast how some of the videos were already establishing a universe of characters.

There were a zillion sets, great costuming and the acting was a cut above for just about everyone (for some reason, I think James' performance was particularly effective in this ep). From a production standpoint it's the best cHustle imo and it might even be the best LRR video. Kudos all around.

On another note, Graham, what was it like wearing that suit? Was it as restrictive as the video showed?

Not sure if it's been mentioned but I'm decently certain the police officer the etchasketch is Ray.

I love that Paul's bear suit very skillfully incorporates the D&D player's monster retreat routine: You don't need to outrun the monster, just the slowest party member.

I keep on thinking, Graham may be able to survive the bear, but foot-taller or not he's going to have trouble running from the bear who, growling in a much higher pitch as it may be, will be significantly enraged having been kicked in the man-jubblies.

Loved the commodore-remix of the Robocop theme during the suit-up.

Three things I LOLed at:

1. "Fucktons of pink". I just loved how they setup Matt from the beginning.

2. "I just had to shake it, y'see . . ." The idea that Paul could turn an etch-a-sketch into a satellite radio was kinda expected, but his work-around caught me off guard and was entirely awesome.

3. The toblerone bar.

Okay, I wasn't clear in my original post. I meant it felt more like a standard sitcom because it was sillier, didn't progress the plot, returned everything to status quo. I then meant to observe that each episode of cH is done slightly different, Laundry is built around the previous night's 'adverture', Fallout is all two people talking. I've nothing against sitcoms, I didn't mean it as a criticsm. I'm not really explaining myself very well, so: I thought it was another strong and hilarious episode of commodoreHUSTLE, well done.

Morgan was out of town.

As for my input on this vid, good but not as good as the last one. Favorite line was the "fuck-load of pink". I felt myself cringing at the LARPers. You guys nailed those characters perfectly. I used to work in a Comic/Gaming store and we'd get LARPers every once and a while, and they seriously weirded me out.

Also, Kate was awesome.
