Ways to Stay Awake

Postby Graham » 20 Jul 2009, 12:08

Can't believe we hadn't done this one already.
Part of an X2Y series on sleep? Possibly.

I opened another tab after opening the video, and then the scream at the beginning scared the hell out of me. That scream and then a minute pause, looped, would be another way to stay awake.

When the Sam Raimi comes on I'm always like 'd'aww, it's over...' But no! Two bonus ways! Huzzah! :D You have to love it.

I fully intend on using these to stay awake. :3

A lobster with a rose... my greatest nightmare!

Oh and the Wikipedia loop is SO TRUE...I have done that a few times.. Maybe this video will help me to stop sleeping while I am playing Mass Effect. Stupid space ambient music putting me to sleep.

It was good, up until the Sandman bit. And then, after that, it was fucking brilliant. Easily one of the top 3 X ways to Y vids yet.

Of course, I'm biased, because I suggested this, and it got made into a video! Weee!

Also, I loved Tim in this video. His and Paul's expressions of glee on the fake Christmas Eve were priceless.

So, yeah, really excellent way to start the week. And seeing as I'm taking summer term classes that start at 8:30, at my college 3 miles away, I may have to use these some mornings...

I think the TvTropes loop is more effective than Wikipedia now.

Well, great video. I love the paranoia thing.

QFT. TVTropes has ruined more nights that were supposed to be productive than I've ruined marriages.

Which really isn't saying much, or anything at all, but still.

Oh yeah, the lobster with the rose. Lol! Was that a reference to something? My first thought was Snakes on the Town, that lobster sign, but I don't remember the sign having a rose. lol

That was FANTASTIC. I don't think I've laughed harder at a video in a while.

Favorites were Sandman, Fake Christmas Eve, and Micro Naps. A very good X2Y.

Whose bed did you have to mess up for this one?
Well, hallo there.

I got linked to TVTropes yesterday and lost almost my entire day to it. I've gotten caught in Wikipedia loops before, but this was above and beyond.

As for the video, I thought Paranoid Paul was excellent.

Nice vid. You guys really seem to like that song (How to Impress Women, probably others I don't know about). What's it's name?

And I loved the caffeine bit, excellent acting/shaking by Paul.

There is a crabs joke in there somewhere.

Paul did an outstanding job with the micronaps bit, just the way he could snap to "asleep" so well was priceless. The crumbs in the bed bit looked like it would've been a bitch to clean up, though.

Brilliant video, loved some of the ideas. An additional way to stay awake is to get trapped in the random video loop on this site.

Also, the ad was really funny, not sure why.

Paranoid Paul's eyes were really, really small. But awesome as well.

Also, you maust have been pretty hardcore to sprinkle all those crumbs in the bed. If you had missed some when brushing it off afterwards you'd be sorry...

That was my bed. I washed my sheets afterwards, since I was planning to anyway.

The sheets got shaken out and then washed afterwards. Graham said he had to wash them anyways. We aren't sure why...

A few things, one, epic video guys. As always, X2Y is always good.

Please note there is no comma between Jer and Tim's credits in Appearing.

Also...the jump from the sam raimi to fake christmas eve, the audio wasn't synced right. It hurt a bit.

Lol, great video :D

This one was particularly funny, normally I'm not a huge fan of X2Y vids but this one (along with Ways to keep Cool) was really entertaining xD

It has already been said, but yes, Paul and Tim's expressions of fake joy were a riot!

Paul has some great eye acting going on in this episode. Now, if he can combine it with some eyebrow waggling....

I've personally done quite a few of these, my mental stimulation is called Garry's Mod :P

With the Wikipedia loop, I almost expected a TV Tropes tab loop coming.

And as far as my stalking abilities can tell, Paul coated Graham's bed with breadcrumbs. I don't envy the person (Likely Graham) that had to clean that up.
