I say we do it on the Sunday night, so (most) people don't have to worry about working the next day. We could all go for dinner afterwards or before or something.

We could also make it a snack potluck, as in everyone brings some kind of snack. Chips, popcorn, veggies and dip, etc.

I'm sure we can come up with some fun things to do as well.

So are we decided on the date then? We just need a time and a room and people to come!

EDIT: Looking through the thread it seems to following locals would come: Lord Crusher, Metcarfre (probably), myself, Yamaro, sdhonda, VanSlick, and meisbored (maybe) which makes 7 if everyone comes. Are we sticking just to forum people or opening it to all? Personally I prefer a smaller event (I was so intimidated at the 5 yr screening). We could probably recruit a few LRR-extras of course, like Tim, Tally, Allen!?, etc.

I'd say get at most 20 people including the main crew if you want to make it small. If you'd like, I can use some of my sway within the Runners to get the word out there.

So you have the sway, I've been looking for it.

Anyway, any word on a Ustream. Those of us from Texas would appreciate it.

Sunday night is the next Phillips Comedy Night, so I don't know that we can make both.

I guess it has to be Monday then.

Metcarfre, can you still make it if it's Monday? I think everyone else would be ok, right?

I don't know why I just find it funny that out of the context of this thread that would be so backwards than suggesting the Saturday instead.

Sunday or Monday is ideal for me. I'd love to attend and meet a few other local fans.

So what's the final word on this, then? Gotta see if I got it off of work.

I'd love to do a CH party that Monday night but need a guarantee that the new video will be up on time, preferably that afternoon (central time.) Is this possible?

I very much plan to have it up on time.
There's nothing that should prevent this.

So Monday then. We need ~3 hours for the videos, plus some time for other antics, so maybe 4 hours total. Start at 6pm? How does that sound to locals?

Lets see if the local people can actually make it before we worry about the out-of-towners, k?

Alternately, we could make it the afternoon rather than the evening if that worked better. I'm easy.

Could we aim for a little earlier start? It is a holiday.
I ask because we'd like to come and Kathleen will be heading back to Van that night.

Also: Last bus up island from Vic leaves at 7, I think (unless Tapir, who apparently lives in nanaimo, wants to give me a ride up).

How about noon? It gives plenty of time, without any of that tiresome getting up early.

Also its good for the worldwide stream viewers (there's a hilarious awkward mental image taken out of context). That would be 3pm for us East Coasters, and 8 pm for those chaps.. in England.

Though, if this is at Uvic or some place like that, they might be limited to what times they can book.

Saturday or Sunday afternoons are the only times that would work for me, I'm leaving Sunday night for a week on Galiano. There's a very small chance I can catch the tail end of the live stream if its on Monday though

There won't be a soul in UVic during a holiday. You could probably almost get away without booking anything, even.

Pretty much anytime on the weekend works for me for the stream. If you do it on Monday though, I'll only be able to tune in after 3 PST.
