I would Argue, save for the fact that Agreeing is not an Action.

Instead, I merely make the camera do a wipe, and we all observe that you are perfectly healthy, alive, and fully clothed.

As I understand the rules, I was merely putting my vote towards the simple majority needed to pass a motion to establish precedent. While I am deceased, there is no ruling that the deceased cannot vote on matters of order. As I was deceased before the motion for this precedent was even put forward, unless you, as the judge, make the motion retroactive (which could create problems if done too often), my continued lack of life would also not be in contravention of the rules.

What I'm trying to say is that I would prefer to remain playing as my decomposing, disease-ridden, corpse, but I vote for the motion to establish the precedent of murder not being allowed.

Well, you obviously can't speak while both dead and not a zombie/ghost/what-have-you, can you? Pretty much the only actions you could take at that point would be to respawn or decompose.

I motion one post takes a round. Thus two posts later my summon would have come into play. However, Sillyman's assist made it one post.

Therefore Mr. Ballsmatron has been summoned and swiftly targets and kicks jackboleo's balls.

Actually, the statement that it exploded can be considered an action. And so I reject your Argument.

I argue that the statement that it exploded, and other such things like it are in fact events and not actions. An action should be something made to happen, not something that just happens spontaneously. If he had used telekinetic powers or had used an RPG to make it explode, or if he rewired it or whatever, then it would be an action. Every other action in this forum had been made by someone acting(keyword here), and is therefore precedented. Events should not be classified as actions, as nothing has been acted with for against or to.

In my own opinion, an event suddenly happening is a valid action... the action is using the subtle reality-warper powers every character in this game just so happens to have by virtue of metaphysics. This was the stance taken when crafting the rules. Anything that does not directly require either motion or judgment is an action.

If you believe this should not be the case, I suggest you make a motion to either overrule judgment or establish precedent.

By the way, the main purpose of a Precedent is permanence. Anything possible via Precedent is possible via Action, with the exception that while an Action can be made or Counteracted by a single person, a Precedent can only be Established or Overthrown by motion.
