Phailhaüs - 25

Postby Graham » 12 Aug 2009, 18:04

Let the Engrish floooooow!

Please note: At the end, I'm laughing so hard because I totally didn't expect Kathleen to say that. It really caught me off-guard.

That is an awesome bit of phail. Made me very nostalgic of when I went to Japan back in the spring. Although, @Kathleen, I did not go to that museum. Sorry.

Also, Harajuku is nuts. I hated Takeshita Dori.... too crowded.
Akihabara was alright for the 30 minutes I spent there.
I stayed in a Ryokan in Tsumago which was very nice.
Did you bring back anything? I brought back a Katana, A Ukata, and a pair of Geita.

Loved it!!! My fiance and I totally want to go to Japan after we get married, and when we can afford it, of course.

That was sincerely cool. If I wasn't saving up for a stay in Ireland, and actually had some knowledge of the Japanese language, I'd probably go there.

DO you two have any more pictures standing next to anime robot replicas? Like, of the Gundam near Yokasuka (if you were near those parts)?
There is sarcasm in my post. If you are smart, you should be able to find it.

Yeah, Graham, you died there JUST a bit.

That and "Flap Duck" were my favourite parts.

I mean, really. "Flap Duck."

Ah, Engrish. Hilarity. I have to wonder, though. When we put (probably) poorly translated Japanese warnings and instructions and such on North American products, do they giggle at us?

By the way, Graham, you have quite the laugh. When you're laughing that hard, anyway. XD XD

Edited: Actually, my signature is Engrish borrowed from engrish.com. My friend and I found it pretty funny. Creepy grass. XD XD
The grass is smiling at you, please detour.

I HOPE, you will not drink from that Chinese Tea pot, as I have heard cases of them using Asbestos to insulate the damn things.

Oh man. That video enabled me joyful

P.S. Graham, your impression of Mandy Patinkin in The Princess Bride was amazing. Seriously, gave me goosebumps.

P.P.S. Also, I may be weird and a nerd, but I am not white. I still want to go to Japan. GREAT VID GUYS! The ending made me die.

They're right about China. A friend of mine went there, and came back with this:

You see, it used to be called "Darkie Toothpaste", and was sold here in America. They changed the name to something less offensive.

However, the Chinese still reads "Black person toothpaste".

Wow. Multiple laugh out loud moments, but it's always especially funny to see other people crack up for some reason. Gotta love the extra long Phail.
