It's All In Your Head

Postby Graham » 17 Aug 2009, 12:12

Thanks to Paul's brother Daniel for the script. I think he originally sent it in quite a while back, but we recently found it again (we suck at email) and did it up.

...I got the lucky refresh and saw this first.
Can I pretend I watched it, just so I can have the first post?

I'm gonna do that.

High-larious! Like always! Haaa, I loved that part when Paul said that line. Brilliant work.

Edit: Oh, actually something useful with this post: when going to watch it, I noticed that it's set to Private still. Just FYI.

Its set to private...luckily, I'm your friends on youtube, so I must go there to log in and watch it.
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.

That was great.

Was Jer supposed to be Jeremy Michaels?

I had my headphones on because I'm watching this at work, and the scream at the beginning may have taken a year off my life. Note to self: check volume levels before clicking play.

I like how this seems to start off as a Wii joke, and then takes a complete left turn. Yet I can't help but notice that the video features a little old woman, whereas the credits do not. Assuming you didn't actually kick a little old lady, was that Jer in drag?

Where was the funny bit at the end...I didn't see it I guess.

Also when Paul had to pretend to steal that stuff I wonder what people though, although they probably saw the camera...

The joke in the end is that they are saying that only two people have been implanted with bombs in the brain: the two guys that they show in the video.

It's a very subtle comedy, but I got it.

I didn't think that "Your money goes to fund laser planes" and the goofy signal-blocking hat was that subtle, but, to each his own I guess.

interesting, not laugh out loud, but the concept was very surreal. I loved how off the wall it was, very out of the same stock at most vids written by Paul. nice work with the ad too.

Oh, the music...oh God, the music...
Nothing wrong with it, it fit well, but something about hearing the exact same Soundtrack loops millions of times makes me want to kill myself.

also, the same loop as "Games That We Played".....ugh. Easter egg, or laziness?

At first I thought it was referencing the original GTA demo, where you had to complete missions in a certain amount of time before a bomb in your body went off. But I kinda doubt that was an intentional reference.
Still It's a very funny concept and although I didn't laugh out loud I did enjoy it.
~I'm probably not serious~
Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

I laughed out loud, literally.

At first I was "WTF?" but the "its like a death threat" killed me.

Then the semi blooper at the end did it again.

Jer, so calm, even when people have bombs in their heads.
I can put my hands in my head, and I can laugh it in the face.

This is a great video. I loved the screening ad.

Is it just me or does the hyena remind anyone else of a certain someone?

I thought it was funny. I was trying to figure out what the affliction would be, but I totally wasn't expecting it to be a bomb in the head! Lol. Also loved the Wiimote tennis at the beginning. Seeing Tim just makes me smile, no matter what he's doing. He's so sweet! :P

I have to agree with avalon, as Tim did make me laugh.

The video seemed thought-provoking, but any thoughts that occurred from the video couldn't have been intellectual. Still funny, though.

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love this video. The beginning was good and everything from the poster to the end bit was pure gold.

Is the Hyena Phillip Seymour Hoffman? Because this reminded me of the plot device in M:I-3. Intentional?

That's what I thought, too.

I'll have to say that I didn't find this one as funny as most of your other vids, but it was well put together. And, I did like the bit about "laser planes".
